Brandon Aubrey

Brandon Aubrey

30-Year-Old KickerK
Dallas Cowboys
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Aubrey outscored every other kicker by at least 27 fantasy points in 2023, when he was a 28-year-old rookie completing a career change from professional soccer. He took a minor step back in 2024 but was still among the best kickers in the NFL, finishing second in fantasy points and first in field-goal attempts while going 14-of-17 on kicks of 50-plus yards (and 14-of-16 in the 40-49 range). Aubrey had been perfect from long distance as a rookie, only missing two kicks in the 30-39 range and three PATs. He didn't miss any PATs in 2024, but he had 22 fewer attempts than in 2023 as the Cowboys declined from 12-5 to 7-10. Aubrey's incredible two-year run of success on long kicks should ensure he gets similar chances this season, keeping him relevant for fantasy even if the Cowboys struggle again and don't provide many chip shots and PATs. Tendered by Dallas
KDallas Cowboys
March 7, 2026
The Cowboys placed a second-round tender valued at $5.76 million on Aubrey on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The tender gives the Cowboys the opportunity to match an offer sheet that another team gives to Aubrey, otherwise Dallas would net a second-round pick. He has been one of the best kickers in the NFL for the past couple of seasons, and Todd Archer of ESPN reported in February that Aubrey is seeking a contract that exceeds the league-high $6.4 million average that Harrison Butker receives. Aubrey went 36-for-42 on field-goal attempts across 17 regular-season games in 2025, including 11-for-17 from 50-plus yards.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
A former professional soccer player and software engineer, Aubrey began training for football in 2019 and played in the USFL in 2022 and 2023 before landing with the Cowboys last summer. His first NFL season couldn't have gone much better, as Aubrey led the league in field goals (36), ranked third in FG percentage (94.7) and tied for fourth in PATs (49 on 52 tries). Aubrey went 10-of-10 from 50-plus yards en route to scoring 27 more fantasy points than any other kicker, with the gap between him and second place (Cairo Santos, Matt Gay - 150 points) being larger than the gap between those guys and 22nd-place Matt Prater (124). It'll be hard to match that level of opportunity even if the Cowboys have a prolific offense again, but Aubrey should nonetheless be one of the first kickers drafted given his 2023 success and solid team context.
Aubrey made 14 of 15 field-goal attempts in the USFL last season, which earned him an opportunity to kick for the Cowboys this summer. He was competing with Tristan Vizcaino at the beginning of training camp, but with Vizcaino released in early August it appears Aubrey may end up handling the kicking job for a team with one of the better offenses in the league on-paper. While the lack of NFL experience means he's far from a sure thing, Aubrey could end up having fantasy value this year.

Has offer from Cowboys
KDallas Cowboys
February 24, 2026
The Cowbys have made Aubrey an offer that would make him the highest-paid kicker in the league, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Aubrey has been an accurate kicker, but he's become well-known for his ability to convert kicks from more than 60 yards. Despite being uncharacteristically erratic from long range in 2025 -- he made 10 of 17 attempts from more than 50 yards -- the Cowboys are seemingly willing to give Aubrey a long-term extension worth at least $6.5 million per year. Despite having a strong offer in hand, Hill reports that Aubrey is looking for an even more lucrative deal.
