2025 Fantasy Outlook
Berrios was part of a wave of wideout acquisitions by the Texans early in the offseason. He and Justin Watson followed Christian Kirk. Berrios is working his way from an ACL injury suffered in October of 2024. The Texans have added several new wide receivers to vie for the spots once belonging to Stefon Diggs (free agent, New England) and Tank Dell (knee). Berrios has more history as a returner than as a wideout, and that's expected to be his role if the knee is right. He didn't participate in the team's voluntary OTAs. Read Past Outlooks

September 5, 2025
Berrios (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, there's optimism from the team Berrios will be able to return relatively soon. With both Berrios and Christian Kirk (hamstring) out for Week 1, the Texans are expected to lean on Nico Collins and rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel against the Rams. Veteran Justin Watson is also in line for an increased offensive role.

The Dolphins re-signed Berrios to a one-year, $3 million contract, but also brought in veteran wideout Odell Beckham to finally fill the WR No. 3 role on the team's offense. That will likely leave Berrios primarily working on special teams, a role that led to him accumulating 676 return yards last season. Depth opportunities on offense behind the Dolphins' top three receivers will be split between Berrios, River Cracraft and rookie Malik Washington.
Berrios, a 2018 sixth-round pick of the Patriots who logged all 65 of his career appearances with the Jets, now remains in the AFC East as a depth pass-catcher for the Dolphins. Miami lacks a solidified No. 3 receiver behind superstars Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, so that spot could be Berrios' to win if he can beat out Cedrick Wilson and Robbie Chosen, both of whom could also boast upside in the slot. It shouldn't be overlooked that Berrios is a more than capable return man, and a potential favorite to handle the majority of both punt and kick take-backs.
Berrios broke out in 2021, making first team All-Pro for his contributions as a kick returner while also posting career highs in targets (65), catches (46) and receiving yards (431). He got more opportunities in the Jets' offense due to injuries ahead of him on the depth chart, but Berrios is expected to return to a depth role in 2022 as the No. 4 wide receiver behind holdovers Elijah Moore and Corey Davis, as well as rookie No. 10 overall pick Garrett Wilson.
Berrios' contributions as a return man on special teams give him the inside track at securing a roster spot with New York, but his role on offense figures to be limited. The 2018 sixth-rounder filled in whenever top slot receiver Jamison Crowder got hurt last season, but now Berrios figures to find himself third in the pecking order behind Crowder and rookie Elijah Moore when it comes to playing time in the slot.
Berrios was the Jets' punt returner last season and is favored to lock down that role in 2020, but the team is hoping he can assert himself more on offense. Despite dressing for all 16 games in 2019, he played only 85 offensive snaps, finishing with six catches for 115 yards. He turns just 25 in October, so Berrios still has time to develop. On the other hand, it's possible he misses out on a roster spot entirely if the Jets opt to go another direction in the return game.
Berrios, who the Patriots took in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, is a slot prospect who failed to make a splash in the preseason last year and then landed on IR. The 5-foot-9, 183-pounder will now battle for depth chart slotting with the likes of Phillip Dorsett, Maurice Harris, Jakobi Meyers and Demaryius Thomas (when healthy), but if Berrios can show aptitude as a route-runner, he could emerge as a direct backup to PPR-ace Julian Edelman.
Berrios, who the Patriots took in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, is a slot prospect who wasn't particularly productive at Miami (FL), but he enjoyed a breakout senior season in 2017 with 55 receptions for 679 yards and nine touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 183-pounder failed to make a splash in the preseason and landed on IR.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see heavy usage early on
WRMiami Dolphins
August 31, 2024
With multiple Dolphins receivers nursing injuries, Berrios could see an uptick in playing time and targets from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to begin the season.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins' star wideout duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle has been limited in practices with their respective issues, while Odell Beckham is set to miss at least the first four games of the regular season while recovering from an undisclosed offseason procedure. Berrios hasn't registered more than 500 yards in a season in his NFL career, but the 2018 sixth-round pick would see heavy usage in the passing game if Hill or Waddle were to be sidelined or operate on a snap count. Across 16 regular-season games in 2023, Berrios recorded 27 catches on 33 targets for 238 yards and one touchdown.
