Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Stingley earned a three-year contract extension in the offseason that made him the highest-paid corner in history. His third NFL season was the first one in which he remained healthy all year. He appeared in all 17 games, recording a career-high 54 tackles with 18 passes defensed and five interceptions - he had two more picks in the postseason. He ranked second among cornerbacks with an 84.4 coverage grade (minimum 500 snaps on pass plays) and was second among that cohort with a 45.3 reception percentage, behind only his teammate, Kamari Lassiter (45.2 percent). Targeted less in 2025
Stingley recorded 36 tackles (26 solo), 15 passes defensed (four interceptions), a forced fumble and a touchdown over 17 regular-season games in 2025.
ANALYSIS
Stingley played a full 17-game season for the second consecutive campaign, as he enhanced his legend as a shutdown corner. While the 36 tackles were a career low, it had more to do with quarterbacks not throwing his way. Stingley was targeted just 65 times after seeing 95 the previous regular season in the same number of games. There was some slippage in reception percentage and missed tackles, but Stingley remains among the league's elite cornerbacks.

The only knock on Stingley is staying healthy, a trait some describe as a skill akin to on-field abilities. He's played 20 of a possible 34 regular-season games since being drafted in 2022. When available in 2023, he led Houston's cornerbacks in coverage (84.9 grade per PFF) and tied for the team lead with five interceptions over 11 games. Stingley's reception percentage (53.8 percent) also led the team. The 23-year-old has no health issues entering the summer season and is set to return as the top cover corner on the Texans' roster.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could reset corner market
Stingley could get a contract extension from the Texans that tops the four-year, $96 million deal Patrick Surtain received from the Broncos, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Stingley is under team control through 2026 via the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, but the third overall pick in the 2022 Draft is a key piece of DeMeco Ryans' defense, and Houston isn't going to risk having its star cornerback get close to free agency. An extension that nudges ahead of Surtain's $24 million AAV and $77.5 million in guaranteed money seems plausible.
