Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Starting Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has missed an average of five games per year across Calcaterra's three seasons, and he missed a career-high seven in 2024, giving Calcaterra more time than ever in the spotlight. In the seven outings Goedert missed, plus the game he exited after just three snaps, Calcaterra still averaged a modest 2.3 catches per game, though that's at least more than the 0.7 catches he averaged in contests where Goedert was available. Expect a similarly small role for Calcaterra in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Blanked in Week 1 win
Calcaterra wasn't targeted in Thursday's 24-20 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Jalen Hurts peppered starting tight end Dallas Goedert with a team-high seven targets, but there was no action left over in the passing game for Calcaterra and Kylen Granson. On the bright side, Calcaterra was on the field for 59 percent of Philadelphia's offensive snaps, behind Goedert's 83 percent but well ahead of Granson's 27 percent. It would likely take an injury to Goedert for Calcaterra to gain any fantasy relevance in 2025.

Calcaterra served as the Eagles' third tight end last season, a role which saw him suit up for 15 games but see the field for less than 20 percent of his team's offensive snaps. He didn't have much chance to make an impact, catching four passes in the five games Dallas Goedert missed with a shoulder injury and a total of just one pass the rest of the year. The arrival of Dan Arnold pushes Calcaterra further down the depth chart.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Role expansion on hold?
Calcaterra will once again share the tight-end position with Dallas Goedert in 2025 following the latter's agreement with the Eagles on a reworked contract Wednesday, per Tim McManus of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Calcaterra offered glimpses of the potential he brings to the position in 2024, recording a career-best 24-298-1 receiving line on 30 targets over 17 regular-season games. However, any potential opportunity to serve as the clear-cut primary option at tight end in 2025 presumably evaporates with Goedert's now-confirmed return, although the latter is slated to hit free agency next offseason.
