Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hines-Allen couldn't replicate his standout 2023 season, but he was still among the better pass rushers in the league. His 46 quarterback hurries ranked sixth in the league and 10th with 63 total pressures. While that suggests there is potential for him to return to double-digit sack production, it's notable that he has hit that threshold only twice in his six pro seasons. More subtle was Hines-Allen's reduced role in coverage while taking over more snaps as a run defender. That should help his tackle potential and keep him among the better fantasy options among defensive linemen. Read Past Outlooks
Another 8.0-sack regular season
Hines-Allen recorded 8.0 sacks among his 49 tackles (28 solo) in the 2025 regular season while adding three passes defensed.
ANALYSIS
Hines-Allen suited up for all 17 regular-season games and matched his 2024 regular-season sack total. He hasn't come close to replicating the production from his 17.5-sack Pro Bowl season in 2023, but Hines-Allen remains a steady contributor when it comes to rushing the passer, having notched at least 7.0 sacks in six of his seven NFL campaigns. He'll face former namesake Josh Allen and the Bills in the wild-card round Sunday, and Hines-Allen's ability to generate pressure could be key to slowing down Buffalo's star quarterback.

The Jaguars placed the franchise tag on Hines-Allen at the start of the offseason, and it didn't take long for the two sides to come to terms on a five-year, $150 million contract. The 27-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, as he posted 66 tackles (43 solo) with 17.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception while playing in all 17 games during 2023. Hines-Allen should be in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year if he can continue to build on that performance in 2024.

Longshot DPOY candidate in '24
Hines-Allen is labeled by Bucky Brooks of NFL.com as a viable longshot candidate for Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.
ANALYSIS
Hines-Allen was close to winning the award in 2023, a season in which he recorded 17.5 sacks in the regular season and earned himself a five-year, $150 million contract. Brooks notes the addition of Arik Armstead to a defensive line that already includes Travon Walker will help reduce the double teams Hines-Allen is subject to, and new defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen's scheme is expected to also help because it focuses on getting pressure with the front four.
