Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Reid joins the Saints after serving as one of the Chiefs' top defensive players over the last three seasons, totaling 265 tackles in 49 regular-season appearances during that span. The 28-year-old hasn't produced much in pass coverage, tallying just three interceptions among 23 pass defenses during his time with Kansas City. New Orleans gave him a three-year, $31.5 million contract this offseason to play alongside Tyrann Mathieu, but the latter retired in July, leaving Reid as the most experienced safety in the team's secondary. Production dips with New Orleans
Reid finished the 2025 regular season with 72 tackles (37 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and four passes defended, including one interception, across 15 games.
ANALYSIS
Reid's numbers took a slight hit in his first season with the Saints, as he tallied fewer than 83 tackles for the first time since 2021 and for just the second time in his career. The eight-year veteran was sidelined for two games, as well as the majority of the Week 13 loss to the Dolphins, with a knee injury. He also played just nine defensive snaps Week 5, so missing almost four games likely helps explain his dip in production. Reid has two seasons remaining on his three-year, $31.5 million deal with New Orleans.

Reid has been entrusted with heavy action in the Chiefs secondary each of the last two seasons and has delivered his best IDP campaigns to date. He posted career-best marks in 2023 with 95 tackles (74 solo) and 3.0 sacks, adding an interception and a forced fumble to the ledger. Reid should maintain his status as a key piece on the back end this season and figures to garner plenty of attention in formats that utilize defensive players. He also figures to be the veteran in a young defensive backs room following the departures of L'Jarius Sneed and Mike Edwards this offseason.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
No concerns about contract
Reid believes details on a potential contract extension with the Chiefs will work themselves out, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reid has been a mainstay in the Kansas City secondary for the last two seasons and is entering the final year of his current contract. Still only 27 years old, he should be in line for a substantial new deal, even in the modern game where safeties are generally not paid at the top of the market. Reid has expressed an interest in remaining in Kansas City, though it's not clear if contract talks have progressed.
