Mocked to Jets by Brugler
TEFree Agent
April 19, 2025
In Wednesday's seven-round mock draft, Dane Brugler of The Athletic has the Jets selecting Taylor in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 42nd overall.
ANALYSIS
Brugler has Taylor as the third tight end taken in the draft behind Penn State's Tyler Warren and Michigan's Colston Loveland, but Brugler believes that Taylor is a borderline first-round prospect. Taylor was a three-year starter at LSU and became the most productive tight end in school history with 129 catches for 1,308 yards in his collegiate career. Taylor's 6-foot-5 frame and blocking ability should give him the opportunity to establish himself as a Day 1 starter in the NFL, and he could fill that role with the Jets after veteran tight end Tyler Conklin departed for the Chargers in free agency.
