2025 Fantasy Outlook
Parsons entered training camp patiently waiting for Jerry Jones to finally sit down and hammer out a massive contract extension, but there's some question that he'll be on the field Week 1 considering he has yet to practice and the two sides haven't made inroads on negotiations. The 26-year-old is arguably the most dangerous quarterback hunter in the league, recording at least 12.0 sacks in all four of his NFL seasons. Parsons will face a bit of a headwind from his new scheme, as defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus hasn't generally overseen dominant pass rushes, but Parsons' elite athleticism and talent are more than enough for him to make an impact in any defense. Limited listing Monday
Parsons (back) was listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Since he was traded from Dallas to Green Bay on Aug. 28, Parsons received an official diagnosis of a joint sprain in his back that limited him in all three Week 1 practices. It didn't stop him from suiting up Sunday against the Lions, and he made an immediate impact, lining up all over the defensive line and generally causing havoc. Parsons even recorded his first sack as a Packer with his fourth-quarter takedown of QB Jared Goff. After earning a 45 percent defensive snap share (30 of 67) in his debut with the team, Parson' workload should increase moving forward, but he likely will remain a constant on the injury report until the back issue is behind him.

Parsons set a new career high with 14.0 sacks last year, but he's been arguably the most consistent pass rusher in the NFL since being drafted 12th overall in 2021, producing 13.0 sacks as a rookie and 13.5 in 2022. Former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn lined him up all over the field looking for mismatches, but it's not yet clear how new DC Mike Zimmer plans to deploy Parsons, or whether the scheme change will have an impact on his numbers. The 25-year-old edge rusher's elite athleticism should allow him to thrive no matter how he's used, however.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May need injection to play
Parsons is dealing with a back injury that could require an epidural to allow him to play Week 1 against the Lions, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The edge rusher cited a back injury as the reason he wasn't participating in training camp with the Cowboys while also engaged in a contract dispute with the team, and it turned out to be a legitimate issue once he got traded to the Packers, although not one serious enough to scuttle the deal. Given that he joined Green Bay so late, Parsons will likely play limited snaps in the team's season opener if he's able to suit up.
