2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gray is set to resume his role as the No. 2 tight end in Kansas City after Travis Kelce announced that he’ll play at least one more season. Gray actually had more touchdown receptions than Kelce (five to three) during the 2024 regular season, in addition to setting career highs across the board with 40 catches for 437 yards on 49 targets. While Kelce’s ability has diminished in his mid-30s, Gray is unlikely to surpass the future Hall of Famer on the depth chart. Coach Andy Reid figures to keep Gray involved near the goal line, but it'll be tough to draw more than 3-4 targets per game as the No. 2 TE in an offense that has not only Kelce but also a promising wideout trio in Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown. The best hope for Gray to establish fantasy value would be an injury to Kelce, who has played 15 or more games every pro season besides his rookie year. Read Past Outlooks
Little production on Sunday night
Gray gathered in one of his three targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 20-10 defeat versus Houston.
ANALYSIS
Gray's lone catch came on the last play of the contest, and he was unable to reel in either of the other two passes headed his direction. The fifth-year tight end hasn't notched more than three catches in a game this year and has yet to reach the end zone, so there isn't a ton to like from a fantasy standpoint. Even if Travis Kelce elects to hang up the cleats following the 2025 campaign, questions remain surrounding Gray's viability as a starting tight end.

How often does Noah Gray run a route when on the field for a pass play?
This data will let you see how Noah Gray and the other tight ends for the Chiefs are being used. Some tight ends may have a lot of snaps, but they're not that useful for fantasy purposes because they're not actually running routes. This data will help you see when this is the case.

Gray posted nearly identical stats in 2022 and 2023, going from 28 catches for 299 receiving yards and two scrimmage touchdowns to 28 catches for 305 yards and two touchdowns. Gray played at least 47 percent of snaps in all but four games last season, but Travis Kelce got the vast majority of targets at tight end. The 2023 season opener was the only game in which Patrick Mahomes played but Kelce didn’t, and while Gray set a career high with five targets in that game, his three catches for 31 yards were nothing to write home about. Gray’s best path to fantasy relevance would be a Kelce injury, but even in that scenario, it’s unclear whether Gray has the pass catching skills to be more than a supporting piece in a Kansas City offense that beefed up its receiving corps in the offseason and added tight end Jared Wiley in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could get added opportunity in '25
Gray, who recorded a career-best 40-437-5 receiving line across 17 regular-season games in 2024, could serve as the Chiefs' top tight end in 2025, as Travis Kelce is expressing some uncertainty about his playing future, per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Gray has gotten incrementally more productive since being selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he enjoyed his largest role yet during the 2024 regular season by logging a career-high 49 targets. Despite a quiet postseason -- Gray recorded only four receptions for 15 yards on four targets in three games -- Kelce's admitted uncertainty about his future in the wake of Kansas City's Super Bowl LIX loss certainly ups the chances of Gray vaulting into the top spot next season.
