Looking to go 2-0 in 2025
FlyweightUFC
April 5, 2025
Wang is scheduled to compete against fellow flyweight Ariane Lipski at UFC 316 in Newark on June 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Barely multiple days into 2025, Wang scheduled to get her year going with a pay-per-view fight against Bruna Brasil, who lost every round in their Sydney fight back in February. Wang's next opponent has lost her last two fights, so the former will look to advantage of momentum on her side.

Gets right back in win column
FlyweightUFC
February 8, 2025
Wang defeated Bruna Brasil via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 312 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Wang was fresh off a submission loss to Gabriella Fernandes in November as a -1200 favorite. She was down to a -350 favorite against Brasil and predictably performed much better. Wang dominated on the feet, more than tripling Brasil up (103-31) in terms of significant strikes landed. She also mixed in a pair of takedowns for good measure, although Wang did nothing with her positional advantage. Wang's stand-up is very good. The rest of her game is a work in progress. She improves to 2-1 in her first three UFC bouts.
Next fight scheduled
FlyweightUFC
January 2, 2025
Wang will fight Bruna Brasil at UFC 312 on Feb. 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Wang suffered her first professional loss at the hands of Gabriella Fernandes in November despite being a massive favorite heading into the fight. She'll now look to bounce back against Brasil, though expectations for Wang are certain to be lower this time around.
Taps out as monumental favorite
FlyweightUFC
November 23, 2024
Wang lost to Gabriella Fernandes via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:49 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Macau, China.
ANALYSIS
That will put an end to the Wang hype train and will do so in overwhelming fashion. Entering as a roughly a -1200 favorite, Wang is now victim of the biggest upset of the year and one of the biggest in recent memory. She dominated in Round 1, but was shockingly content to engage Fernandes in a brawl in Round 2. That led to Wang being knocked down, allowing her opponent the opportunity to clamp on the rear-naked choke which closed the show. Already 32 years of age and with all of six pro fights under her belt, it may be difficult to Wang to overcome this massive setback.
Second fight scheduled
FlyweightUFC
September 25, 2024
Wang will fight Gabriella Fernandes at UFC Macau on Nov. 23, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Wang was exceptional in her UFC debut back in August, defeating Victoria Leonardo via first-round KO. She'll have an opportunity to improve to 2-0 as a UFC fighter Nov. 23 against Gabriella Fernandes.
Dominant victory in UFC debut
FlyweightUFC
August 24, 2024
Wang defeated Victoria Leonardo via KO (punches) at 1:02 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was about the softest matchup possible from an opposition standpoint, but Wang looked flawless in her UFC debut. An elite striker with all of five pro fights under her belt entering the evening, Want destroyed Leonardo with a one-two combination about a minute in, and the bout was over in an instant. There appears to be some legitimate potential here, but given the fact Wang is already 32 years old, the UFC has no real reason to slow play things. In the meantime, it appears Wang was also given an extra, unofficial post-fight bonus for her efforts here, according to Drake Riggs of MMAFighting.com.
