Usman has been suspended for 30 months by Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) after testing positive for testosterone in an out-of-competition sample collected on Sept. 8, 2025, USA Today reports.

Usman ultimately admitted to the use of testosterone and BPC-157, later clarifying that he made a mistake while attempting to recover quicker from injury. The heavyweight fighter compiled a 4-2 record while with the UFC, and given he's already 36 years old and won't be eligible to compete again until April of 2028, his future with the promotion is murky, at best.
