Brahimaj will face Oban Elliott at UFC Vegas 107 on May 31, Alex Behunin of MMA Mania reports.
ANALYSIS
Brahimaj is coming off the first knockout win of his career when he defeated Mickey Gall at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, 2024. The 33-year-old has gone 3-3 in his first six UFC contests and has alternated wins and losses over that stretch, so he's now looking for the first winning streak with the promotion.

First knockout win of career
WelterweightUFC
November 16, 2024
Brahimaj defeated Mickey Gall via KO (punches) at 2:55 of Round 1 at UFC 309 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Known as a grappler with little power, this was the first knockout victory of Brahimaj's professional career. He and Gall got into a wild exchange along the fence, throwing haymakers at each other, and Ramiz connected with a right hand to Mickey's temple that put him out in an instant. It would also go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. As impressive as the finish was, it's almost certainly an aberration as opposed of a sign of things to come. Brahimaj will be 33 years of age a day after this event takes place, and he has now alternated wins and losses in his first half-dozen UFC bouts.
Ready to face Gall
WelterweightUFC
September 12, 2024
Brahimaj will take on Mickey Gall in a welterweight at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 16, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brahimaj will aim to bounce back following his defeat against Themba Gorimbo on May 18. Brahimaj has alternated wins and losses in his first five UFC bouts, and he'll aim to get back to winning ways against an opponent who has lost three in a row while recording just one fight since 2022.
Can't defend takedown in loss
WelterweightUFC
May 18, 2024
Brahimaj lost to Themba Gorimbo via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was widely believed that Brahimaj had an edge over Gorimbo in the grappling department, and if he was to win this fight, it would come via that method. Not only did he not win, but he lost because he couldn't defend a takedown. Ramiz allowed Themba to connect on 5-of-6 attempts, good for 10:13 worth of control time. You simply have zero chance of emerging victorious in a 15-minute decision if you are spending more than two-thirds of the bout either being controlled on the mat or up along the fence. The definition of roster depth, Brahimaj has alternated losses and wins in his first five UFC bouts.
Will face Gorimbo
WelterweightUFC
March 1, 2024
Brahimaj (undisclosed) is ready to fight again and will face Themba Gorimbo in a welterweight bout on a UFC event on May 18th in Las Vegas, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brahimaj withdrew from his welterweight bout against Carlston Harris at UFC Vegas 69 on Feb. 18 due to an undisclosed injury, but it seems the issue wasn't as severe as initially expected. Brahimaj hasn't participated in a fight since the win outside of his ring over Micheal GIllmore on Feb. 26, 2022.
Withdraws due to injury
WelterweightUFC
February 1, 2023
Brahimaj suffered a severe injury while training and has withdrawn from his welterweight bout against Carlston Harris at UFC Vegas 69 on Feb. 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but Brahimaj shouldn't be expected to re-enter the Octagon for the foreseeable future. It remains to be seen if Harris will receive a new opponent or if he'll be dropped from the card altogether.
