Will take on Ardelean
Amanda will take on Alice Ardelean in a strawweight bout at UFC Vegas 99 on Oct. 19, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Amanda is coming off her second straight defeat in the UFC, again catching a bad break from the judges and losing via split decision. Thus, her future with the promotion is likely riding on this fight, and she'll have to take on an opponent in Ardelean who has three years of age and an inch of height on her. Ardelean, however, is also coming off a loss and will be looking for a bounce-back performance.

Again gets no help from judges
Amanda lost to Puja Tomar via split decision (27-30, 30-27, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
Amanda's second UFC appearance went nearly identically to her first. That being she opened the card and was the victim of a poor judges' decision. Neither woman significantly damaged the other during the course of the bout, but Amanda was the one consistently pushing forward and landing the more impactful blows. Tomar, on the other hand, relied on firing off plenty of side kicks in her UFC debut. Again, Amanda deserved a better fate. The Brazilian has come up short in each of her first two UFC bouts, in addition to dropping a unanimous decision in Dana White's Contender Series back in August 2022. Her time with the company could be coming to a close.

Scheduled against debutant
Amanda is scheduled to compete against Puja Tomar in a strawweight fight at the UFC's June 8 event, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Amanda's next opponent is scheduled against a strawweight who just recently signed with the UFC. Tomar is 8-4, with six finishes, all via KO/TKOs. On the plus side for Amanda, Tomar has proven to be susceptible to submissions, as all but one of four losses saw her defeated via tapout.

Gets no help from judges in debut
Dos Santos lost to Talita Alencar via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It took exactly one fight for our first controversial decision of the evening. There wasn't much going on either way here, so it's hard to get too worked up about the result, but dos Santos clearly won Round 1, and it sure appeared as if she did enough in Round 3 to earn the call. All told, she closed with a 80-48 edge in terms of total strikes landed. The 28-year-old Brazilian has been up and down prior to her arrival with the company, losing on Dana White's Contender Series, while picking up victories in her two prior bouts with Invicta, both earlier this year. Dos Santos will get another opportunity with the UFC at some point in 2024.
