Can't defend takedown in loss
MiddleweightUFC
April 5, 2025
Valentin lost to Torrez Finney via split decision (28-29, 30-27, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Disregard the "split decision" term. The 30-27 scorecard in Valentin's favor submitted by Tony Weeks is a candidate for the worst you will ever see. Valentin displayed plenty of toughness and continuously worked his way back to his feet, but it's nearly impossible to earn a three-round decision when you give up eight takedowns and 13:16 worth of control time. Valentin has lost each of his first two UFC bouts and has not been competitive in either, so it's far from a guarantee a third opportunity will be forthcoming.

Set to fight Finney
MiddleweightUFC
February 1, 2025
Valentin will fight Torrez Finney at UFC Vegas 105 on April 5, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Valentin took a loss at the hands of Ryan Loder during the former's first UFC event in August, but he'll get another shot to prove himself against the undefeated (10-0) Finney. While his opponent has momentum working in his favor, Valentin will have six inches of height and 1.5 inches of reach over Finney.
Fails to earn UFC contract
MiddleweightUFC
August 24, 2024
Valentin dropped The Ultimate Fighter 32 middleweight final on Saturday, falling to Ryan Loder via TKO (strikes) at 1:49 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Valentin is going to be kicking himself, as he appeared to have multiple chances to win this fight. Robert was giving up quite a bit to Loder in terms of grappling, and that led to him finding himself on his back almost immediately. The good news for Valentin is that he eventually took Loder's back and threatened with multiple deep submission attempts, but couldn't close the show. Rob found himself flattened out along the fence early in Round 2, and referee Mark Smith was forced to step in after repeated unanswered blows. The lone good news for Valentin is that most fighters that drop a TUF finale these days still get a shot with the company at some point down the line, so we'll probably be seeing Valentin again.
Scheduled for TUF finale

August 15, 2024
Valentin is scheduled to compete against Ryan Loder in a middleweight fight at UFC Vegas 96 on Aug. 24, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Valentin and Loder are finalists of a middleweight tournament from The Ultimate Fighter 32, captained by UFC Flyweight Champion Alexa Grasso and former division titleholder Valentina Shevchenko. Valentin has 10 wins with nine finishes (three KO/TKOs, six submissions) across 14 pro fights. Captained by Grasso, the Swiss middleweight has cruised through TUF thus far, finishing his quarterfinal and semifinal adversaries in one round.
