2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ratiu's contributions might not always appear in the stat sheet, but the Romanian was one of the most consistent right-backs in La Liga when looking outside of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona in 2024/25. Last season, he recorded two goals, three assists, 37 chances created and 77 crosses in 35 appearances (34 starts). Those numbers give him a solid floor in most formats, and a move higher up the pitch late in the campaign could be a boost going into 2025/26. His importance should only grow and he could be a sneaky late-round grab in fantasy drafts if he starts more matches in an attacking role.
Forced off with leg injury
Ratiu was forced off with a leg injury in Sunday's 2-1 win against Mallorca, according to Union Rayo.
ANALYSIS
Ratiu was forced off in the first half of Sunday's victory against Mallorca after suffering a leg injury. The right-back will be assessed in the coming days to determine the extent of the injury, but the setback is concerning since the defender played all possible minutes this season for Rayo Vallecano, excluding his recent suspension. If Ratiu is forced to miss time while recovering from the injury, Ivan Balliu is expected to replace him at right-back.

Could head to Italy
Ratiu is close to completing a move to the Italian Serie A, according to Spanish outlet Union Rayo.
ANALYSIS
Ratiu was one of the standout players for Rayo Vallecano in the 2024/25 season, and it's not surprising to see the right-back getting interest from other clubs in Europe. Lazio and Roma are keen on him, though Villarreal could also re-sign him. Rayo aren't willing to let him leave unless any team pays the release clause.
