2025 Fantasy Outlook
Solanke got his big move from Bournemouth to Tottenham last summer and then promptly led his new club to a finish below his former one in the table. That's not to say all of Spurs' offensive woes were on Solanke, as injuries hampered him and the team around him, limiting him to just nine goals. He started when fit and had some runs of excellent form that showed why Spurs brought him in. If he can stay healthy, there's a chance for a monster Solanke season in 2025/26, playing a role in a new Thomas Frank system that consistently produced big attacking numbers for Brentford.
Scores in first start of season
Solanke scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 2-0 victory versus Borussia Dortmund.
ANALYSIS
Solanke made his first start of the season (all competitions) Tuesday after missing five months due to a severe ankle injury. He entered the starting XI versus Dortmund after making bench appearances in the last two Premier League matches, and he made an impact in his full return. He scored a close-range strike in the 37th minute off a Wilson Odobert assist, his first goal in any competition since May 25. With Richarlison (hamstring) out for at least another month, there's a good chance Solanke will lead the front line for Spurs next Wednesday at Frankfurt in the final UCL group stage match.

Option for UCL
Solanke has been reinstated to the UCL squad in place of Mathys Tel, according to his club. "Yeah, I made the decision. That was not a nice decision to have to make. Unfortunately, that's football, so you have to make a decision. And the way the rules are, the only option was either Dom or Mathys in the squad, and I chose Dom because I think Mathys has done very well the last couple of games, and that's the crazy thing - if I could pick from all the players who are fit, he would start tomorrow. But I can only pick between the two of them, and now he's out of the squad. So that's, of course, a tough one to take from Mathys."

Makes FA Cup return
Solanke (ankle) appeared for seven minutes off the bench in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Aston Villa. From Thomas Frank, "Of course, he's not fully to fit to go 90 minutes, top sharp, but he is fit enough to get out there and get 15 minutes... Then, we build from there and he will be in a better place next week against West Ham."

Getting closer to return
Solanke (ankle) is not ready to return and won't be available for Saturday's clash against Aston Villa in the FA Cup, but he's trending in the right direction, according to manager Thomas Frank. "Both of them [Udogie and Solanke] trained, both of them are getting closer, definitely," he said. "Destiny is a bit closer than Dom, but both of them are positive and improving."

Starting to train with ball
Solanke (ankle) is back in light training, according to manager Thomas Frank. "It was a little bit more competitive in the small sided games. He looked a little bit rusty, which is completely normal. Now he's been out for at least six months, so of course it will take a little bit of time. So even if he's ready for whatever time in the near future, hopefully, then I think we'll be surprised to just see him just hit the ground running - very few players do that."

Aiming for return end of January
Solanke (ankle) has been given a timeline of the end of January for a possible return to the pitch by manager Thomas Frank. "The thing I need to open up about, of course, is when he's out there on the pitch with pictures, then that's positive, of course. But to say mid-Jan or end of Jan or 25th of Jan."

Spurs waiting to make move
Tottenham are still waiting to complete a move for Solanke, according to The London Evening Standard.
ANALYSIS
The Spurs are looking to bolster their attack and hope to sign Solanke, but for that to happen, they need to part ways with another forward first, and Richarlison tops the list. As things stand now, a move for the Englishman could be dependent on the future of the 27-year-old Brazilian striker, who could move to Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks.
