2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lo Celso played a key role for Betis last season despite being limited to 1,455 league minutes due to injuries. Unfortunately, he's always had a problem with injuries and hasn't surpassed 1,500 league minutes since 2018/19 with Betis. Nevertheless, he was highly efficient, scoring eight goals on just 34 shots (19 on target) and adding three assists from 43 chances created. It was his best league-scoring output since that 2018/19 season. If he can avoid the minor-injury bug and come close to 2,000 minutes, he could be in the range of 15 or 20 goal contributions. The upside is there, it's all about staying healthy for Lo Celso, who is not yet 30 years old.
Back on grass
Lo Celso (thigh) is back on the grass training but is still not ready to return.
ANALYSIS
The talented playmaker suffered a thigh injury against PAOK in the UEFA Europa League and is not expected back until after the international break. That said, the fact that he's training on the grass is a positive update. Lo Celso should challenge for minutes in midfield once he's healthy and ready to play.

Will miss Sunday's game
Lo Celso (muscular) suffered an injury a few minutes after coming off bench in Thursday's clash against PAOK in the Europa League and will miss Sunday's clash against Alaves, coach Manuel Pellegrini confirmed in a press conference. "It's difficult to give a diagnosis right now, but both are muscle injuries and they definitely won't be available for the weekend. Aitor felt discomfort and stopped in time, Gio's injury happened a minute after he came on. We won't know for sure until we have the medical tests, but what's certain is that they won't be ready for the next match."
