Petrovic could stay at Chelsea as part of the first-team squad for the 2025-26 season, according to The Telegraph.

Chelsea are not currently expecting to sign a new first-team goalkeeper in the summer, and Blues manager Enzo Maresca is willing to see other options first. Penders is one of those options, as the highly-touted goalkeeper is set to join the Blues in the summer from Genk. He's expected to challenge for that spot with Djordje Petrovic, who spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Strasbourg.
