2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rodri only had a small sample after an ACL tear left him sidelined for nearly the entire campaign. He returned for the final few games and saw even more time during the Club World Cup, so the thought is that he'll be close to 100 percent for the start of 2025/26. If that's the case and he remains fit, he could hold his usual midfield role the majority of the season with 30-plus starts in play. At his peak a couple years ago, he was frequently involved in goals, totaling eight goals and nine assists. It's hard to see him being near those numbers this season, but as long as he's on the pitch, he'll have the ball near the top of the box and good things usually happen for City in those instances.

Back in training
Rodri was back in training Monday after suffering an unknown injury in the Club World Cup last month.
ANALYSIS
It's a good update on Rodri, as it appears the injury he suffered more than a month ago was minor. City haven't played since the Club World Cup and only recently returned to training as a team, so there's a chance the injury wasn't anything real for Rodri. If he can play in the Aug. 9 friendly, there's a decent chance he'll be in the XI for the Aug. 16 opener, assuming he doesn't have anymore setbacks until then.
