Wissa has improved each year with Brentford, but 2024/25 was the biggest step yet, as he tallied 18 goals and four assists. He didn't lead the team in either category, but he established himself as a top attacking option in the Premier League. Unfortunately, there's some concern for Wissa heading into 2025/26 with a bit of upheaval in the squad from manager to key starters. Repeating last season's output seems unlikely, but as a focal point in the attack with seemingly guaranteed minutes, maybe things won't change that much for him.

Wissa (knee) doesn't require surgery and is currently receiving treatment with the aim to be back available for the game against Brighton after the international break, coach Eddie Howe said in the press conference. "He's receiving treatment and no operation is needed. I think we're looking at the other side of the international break. We hope he can be fit and available for that first game."

In race to be fit for Brighton
Wissa (knee) is eyeing a return against Brighton following the October international break, according to manager Eddie Howe. "Now we just have to deal the best we can with that situation. We think he'll be out until the next international break. He's got a race on to be fit for that Brighton game. Hopefully, he can make it, and then of course he'll be such an important player for us."
