Now that the NBA Cup has concluded, we'll be back to the usual busy NBA slates that we all know and love. It also means more work to do on our fantasy rosters as we continue to try and overcome injuries. Here are six players to consider adding off the waiver wire who are still available in the majority of Yahoo leagues.

Grayson Allen, Phoenix Suns
(32% rostered)
Allen has played five games since returning from injury. He hasn't been great, averaging 10.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists during that span. However, he did provide 1.8 steals and 1.4 threes per game. The main reason for his lack of scoring was that he shot only 32.2% from the field and 20.6% from behind the arc.
For his career, Allen has shot 45.0% from the field and 41.3% from three. As he shakes off the rust, expect his efficiency to improve. He was a key contributor for the Suns before he suffered his injury, and he remains in a prominent role with Jalen Green (hamstring) sidelined. There have been no indications that Green's return is right around the corner, so Allen should continue to be a valuable fantasy option.
Bobby Portis, Milwaukee Bucks
(31% rostered)

Bobby Portis, Milwaukee Bucks
(31% rostered)
When Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) first went down, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers indicated that the team would take a cautious approach with their superstar. The new trend across the NBA has been for teams to be very cautious with players who have a calf injury, as it could lead to Achilles issues. Giannis could very well be out into January.
Although he still isn't starting, Portis has been more productive without his superstar teammate at his side. Over the last four games, Portis has averaged 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds. 1.0 steals and 3.0 three-pointers. He also shot 55.3% from the field. It's unlikely that he is going to play over 30 minutes on a nightly basis, but he has a large enough role now to warrant rostering him in most leagues.
Jaylon Tyson, Cleveland Cavaliers
(30% rostered)
The season has been filled with injuries for the Cavaliers. Darius Garland has been in and out of the lineup, Evan Mobley (calf) is out right now and Jarrett Allen has also missed time. Role players Sam Merrill (hand) and Max Strus (foot) also currently join Mobley on the sidelines.
Since the team is so shorthanded, Tyson has averaged 31 minutes over their last 12 games. He has parlayed that into averages of 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.0 three-pointers. For the season, he has shot 53.9% from the field and 77.8% from the charity stripe. The Cavaliers even moved De'Andre Hunter to the bench Wednesday, enabling Tyson to start. All of this bodes well for his fantasy prospects moving forward.
Anthony Black, Orlando Magic
(29% rostered)
Just when the Magic got Paolo Banchero back, Franz Wagner (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (hip) went down. Wagner could be out up to four weeks, while Suggs' status is murky moving forward. An MRI revealed that he had a left hip contusion and he has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Nuggets, but the team has yet to provide a timetable for his return.
Black is already in the midst of the best season of his career with averages of 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 three-pointers. With the Magic being shorthanded often, he has logged 29 minutes a game. Last season, he only averaged 24 minutes. With the expectation that he should approach 30 minutes on a nightly basis for at least the next couple of weeks, Black is a viable target for fantasy managers.
Jordan Walsh, Boston Celtics
(25% rostered)
Depth was going to be an issue for the Celtics heading into this season. They traded away two key players in Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. They let Al Horford walk in free agency. Also, Jayson Tatum (Achilles) might sit out the entire campaign. In their search for viable rotation players, Walsh has emerged as an important part of their roster.
The Celtics moved Walsh into their starting lineup on November 12. Since then, he has averaged 9.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 three-pointers over 14 games. In three of his last five games, he has scored at least 17 points. What likely cements him into significant playing time moving forward has been the excellent defense that he has displayed. In all six games in which he has played at least 29 minutes this season, he has registered at least two steals.
Kyle Filipowski, Utah Jazz
(25% rostered)
The Jazz are 10-15 and look to be barreling towards another rebuilding season. They were one team that leaned heavily into resting their top players during the second half of last season. They may have started that already this season. Monday, they sat out Jusuf Nurkic for rest despite the game not being part of a back-to-back set. They also replaced veteran Svi Mykhailiuk in the starting lineup with Brice Sensabaugh. Mykhailiuk didn't end up playing at all in the game. Now, they have listed Lauri Markkanen as questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Lakers with "right groin injury management." That game is not part of a back-to-back set.
With Nurkic out Monday, Filipowski torched the Mavericks for 25 points, nine rebounds, two three-pointers and one block over 38 minutes. When he started the final 11 games of last season, he averaged 14.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks and 1.4 three-pointers. More minutes could be coming his way, so add him now before it's too late.
