As the NBA regular season grinds on towards the All-Star Break in early February, teams are undoubtedly trying their best to manage players' court time and avoid injury. With that in mind, we at RotoWire.com, as part of our NBA betting insight, looked at teams that are struggling the most with injuries this season. Throughout the season, we will use a point system to show how much teams are affected by injuries. This edition is as of Jan. 14.
The point system based on RotoWire listings: Probable (1 point); Questionable (3 points); Doubtful (5 points); Out (10 points); Out for Season (25 points).

Which NBA Team Is Most Injury Riddled?
When it comes to the injury bug, no NBA team has fared worse than the
Dallas Mavericks, who have seven players on the team's injury report. That nets them a league-high 86 points across our scoring system.
The latest injury to insult in the heart of Texas came when veteran big man Anthony Davis (above at left) was ruled out for six weeks on Tuesday because of a finger injury. He joins frontcourt member Derek Lively II on the long-term injury list, with Lively recently undergoing surgery on his foot.
All told, it's no wonder Dallas (15-25) is 12th in the Western Conference going into Wednesday's games. See our NBA odds page for the latest lines.
The ascendance of No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg has been the lone bright spot of sorts for the injury-riddled Mavs of late.
Who Else Has Battled Injuries?
Outside of Texas, the NBA's most injury-riddled roster belongs to the
Portland Trail Blazers, who rank second leaguewide with 80 points by our metrics.
In Stumptown, the Blazers' slew of injuries have derailed what started as a season brimming with promise. Portland sits ninth in the West at 19-22, just two games ahead of the Clippers for the final play-in spot. At DraftKings Sportsbook, the Blazers are at +260 odds to make the eight-team postseason field in the West, as opposed to -330 odds to miss out.
The Chicago Bulls (61 points) are third on our list. The Bulls (18-21) are clinging to the 10th spot in the East, and the final play-in place. They are 1.5 games ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks and 3.5 games behind the Orlando Magic for the East's sixth and final automatic playoff spot.
The Denver Nuggets (55 points), Indiana Pacers and the Los Angeles Clippers (50 each) are also the league's leading purveyors of on-court maladies, followed by the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder (45 points).
OKC, Denver Thriving Despite Injuries
Injuries have not slowed the Thunder (34-7) and Nuggets (27-13), who are the current No. 1 and No. 3 seeds in the West. OKC has +125 odds with Caesars Sportsbook to repeat as champions, the best price we found on Wednesday after surveying several operators.
The same cannot be said of the last-place Pacers and 11th place Clippers, who are 9-31 and 16-23 this season, respectively.
Rounding out the NBA's injury lot are the Atlanta Hawks, who have 44 points, the Utah Jazz (38) and Sacramento Kings (33) this week.
Those three teams are all well under .500, giving further credence to the belief that injuries are the best way to derail success in the marathon of an NBA regular season.
