2025 Fantasy Outlook
Moore has definitely flopped compared to the expectations he entered the league with as a 2022 second-round pick. An abdomen injury limited Moore to appearances in just the first six weeks of the 2024 season, and though he was healthy for Kansas City's loss to Philadelphia in Super Bowl LIX he was kept inactive. He floated around 250 receiving yards in both 2022 and 2023 and will now look to secure a role in the 49ers' wideout corps following an August trade that will give him a fresh start with San Francisco. Handles return duties for SF
Moore did not receive a target and returned five combined kicks for 63 yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Moore latched on to San Francisco's 53-man roster in training camp, securing primary return man responsibilities in the process. The former Chief only logged three snaps on offense despite the 49ers being shorthanded at receiver to begin the year, wiping away any potential fantasy upside. Moore did put the ball on the ground on one of his five return attempts Sunday, but he was fortunate enough to recover his own mistake. The 24-year-old will continue serving as San Francisco's return specialist when the team travels to New Orleans in Week 2.

Presumably, gone are the days when Moore was viewed as a breakout candidate. The third-year wideout received ample opportunity over his first two seasons and has little to show for it, finishing with similar lines of 22-250-0 and 21-244-1 over his first two NFL campaigns. The Chiefs unsurprisingly prioritized the position this offseason, adding speedsters Marquise Brown (free agency) and Xavier Worthy (first-round draft pick). While Rashee Rice's likely suspension adds a wrinkle of temporary playing time, Moore joins Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Justyn Ross, among others, vying for what has shown to be fantasy-irrelevant reps in the Chiefs offense.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see regular role with Niners
The 49ers are dealing with injuries to multiple players at wide receiver, which puts Moore in a position to see meaningful snaps on offense for Week 1 against the Seahawks on Sunday, Sept. 7.
ANALYSIS
Moore and Ricky Pearsall currently stand as the only wide receivers on the 49ers' roster who don't have an injury tag heading into Week 1. Brandon Aiyuk is starting the season on the reserve/PUP list while recovering from an ACL and MCL tear, Russell Gage is working through an MCL sprain in his knee and Jauan Jennings is dealing with a calf injury while also seeking a contract extension. Moore didn't see a lot of work in the Chiefs' offense during his first three years in the league, but injuries may push the 2022 second-rounder into a bigger role with the 49ers, which makes establishing a connection with Brock Purdy a priority during practice.
