London Game: Vikings vs. Browns

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure

Quarterbacks

1.Josh Allen BUF vs. NE
2.*Jalen Hurts PHI vs. DEN
Note: The Eagles' offense cratered in the second half while protecting a lead against the Bucs.
3.*Patrick Mahomes KC at JAX
Note: Mahomes had his first multi-touchdown game of the season, and it turned out to be four-touchdown effort. Did the return of Xavier Worthy mean that much?
4.Jared Goff DET at CIN
5.*Jayden Daniels WAS at LAC
Note: Daniels (knee) didn't practice on Friday last week and wasn't able to play - we'll see if he can go this week against the Chargers. If he's cleared to play, he'll be back in my top 10. Daniels has been medically cleared to play and has fully practiced the last two days. He won't have the services of Terry McLaurin or Noah Brown, but even still, I'm playing him if I have him. ***Daniels will be playing with a brace on his left knee.***
6.*Justin Fields NYJ vs. DAL
Note: Fields remains the ultimate 'better in fantasy' than in real life quarterback.
7.*Justin Herbert LAC vs. WAS
Note: Even before Joe Alt's ankle injury, Herbert was under siege from the Giants' pass rush, but it got out of hand afterwards.
8.*Daniel Jones IND vs. LV
Note: How much differently does the Colts' loss to the Rams play out if Adonai Mitchell doesn't fumble a potential long touchdown across the goal line? Jones threw a late interception in the attempted comeback.
9.Dak Prescott DAL at NYJ
10.Matthew Stafford LA vs. SF
11.Kyler Murray ARZ vs. TEN
12.*Baker Mayfield TB at SEA
Note: Thirty eight of Mayfield's 40 passes went for 140 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. The other two went for 149 yards and two touchdowns - both just absolute lasers. Mayfield (biceps) didn't practice Wednesday, but was back out there on Thursday. ***Mayfield was cleared from the injury list. He'll be without Mike Evans and Bucky Irving this week.***
13.Bo Nix DEN at PHI
14.Drake Maye NE at BUF
15.Sam Darnold SEA vs. TB
16.C.J. Stroud HOU at BAL
17.*Geno Smith LV at IND
Note: Smith has alternated good and bad performances so far, unfortunately with a comically bad game against the Bears in Week 4.
18.*Jaxson Dart NYG at NO
Note: Dart injured his hamstring in the win over the Chargers, but he's expected to practice Wednesday. The Giants didn't ask much of Dart downfield, and that will likely continue now that Malik Nabers was out. Dart was impressive with his scrambling skills. Fully practiced Wednesday.
19.Tua Tagovailoa MIA at CAR
20.Bryce Young CAR vs. MIA
21.Trevor Lawrence JAC vs. KC
22.*Mac Jones SF at LAR
Note: Jones (PCL) might start on Thursday night, due to Brock Purdy aggravating his toe injury in the loss to the Jaguars. Jones was able to practice Monday. Jones will get the start Thursday night, but he won't have Ricky Pearsall nor Jajuan Jennings.
23.Carson Wentz MIN at CLE
24.*Spencer Rattler NO vs. NYG
Note: Rattler kept multiple drives alive with his legs last week, scrambling for 49 yards. He'll need more of that against the Giants' pass rush.
25.*Cooper Rush BAL vs. HOU
Note: Rush is likely to start this week with Lamar Jackson (hamstring) out. He gets a tough draw against the Texans. ***Rush is officially slated to start this week against Houston.***
26.Jake Browning CIN vs. DET
27.*Cam Ward TEN at ARI
Note: Ward minced no words discussing his and the Titans' offense's performance, which has been a struggle, to say the least.
28.*Dillon Gabriel CLE vs. MIN
Note: Gabriel subbed in late for a faltering Joe Flacco and is expected to start this week against the Vikings, though we're waiting for the Browns to confirm early reports.
29.Marcus Mariota WAS at LAC
30.*Joe Flacco CLE vs. MIN
Note: Flacco was hurt by a few drops from his receivers, but also didn't do himself any favors with a couple of turnovers against the Lions. It looks like Dillon Gabriel will replace Flacco for Week 5. Flacco has been benched for Dillon Gabriel, but he'll remain the No. 2 QB.
31.*Lamar Jackson BAL vs. HOU
Note: Jackson (hamstring) is expected to miss Week 5 against Houston and could miss 2-to-3 weeks. Cooper Rush is expected to start. The Ravens haven't officially declared Jackson out yet, though he hasn't yet practiced this week. ***Jackson was officially ruled out for this week.***
32.*Brock Purdy SF at LAR
Note: Purdy aggravated his toe injury in the loss to the Jaguars, and might not be able to play for the short turnaround against the Rams. He did not practice on Tuesday. Purdy has been ruled out for this week.
33.*J.J. McCarthy MIN at CLE
Note: McCarthy (ankle) might be ready to practice this week, though probably not on Wednesday. McCarthy (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday. Is it possible that he doesn't return even when the Vikings come back after their bye? ***McCarthy wasn't able to practice at all this week.***

Running Backs

1.Christian McCaffrey SF at LAR
2.Jahmyr Gibbs DET at CIN
3.James Cook BUF vs. NE
4.Jonathan Taylor IND vs. LV
5.De'Von Achane MIA at CAR
6.Saquon Barkley PHI vs. DEN
7.*Omarion Hampton LAC vs. WAS
Note: Hampton took on a workhorse role for the Chargers with Najee Harris out.
8.Quinshon Judkins CLE vs. MIN
9.Ashton Jeanty LV at IND
10.Javonte Williams DAL at NYJ
11.Derrick Henry BAL vs. HOU
12.Travis Etienne JAC vs. KC
13.*Breece Hall NYJ vs. DAL
Note: Hall could get more work than usual now that Braelon Allen (MCL sprain) is out.
14.Kyren Williams LA vs. SF
15.Alvin Kamara NO vs. NYG
16.J.K. Dobbins DEN at PHI
17.David Montgomery DET at CIN
18.*Cam Skattebo NYG at NO
Note: Skattebo saw massive volume in Week 4, with 25 carries for 79 yards and two catches for 11 yards, also adding in a two-point conversion.
19.Kenneth Walker SEA vs. TB
20.*Woody Marks HOU at BAL
Note: Coach DeMeco Ryans said he's excited to see how Marks handles an increased workload going forward, after the Week 4 breakout performance against the Titans. Meanwhile, Joe Mixon (foot) isn't close to returning.
21.*Rachaad White TB at SEA
Note: White could be in line for a big uptick in playing time if Bucky Irving (foot/ankle) cannot play. Sean Tucker would share duties with him. ***Irving has officially been ruled out for this week.***
22.*Jordan Mason MIN at CLE
Note: Mason has a really tough draw this week against the Browns. He was disappointing against the Steelers, getting bailed out on a fumble-six early on, while rushing 16 times for 57 yards. It didn't help that the Vikings were playing catch-up, and that they lost multiple offensive linemen to injury.
23.*Rico Dowdle CAR vs. MIA
Note: Even if Chuba Hubbard (calf) plays, I think Dowdle gets more work than usual this week. ***Hubbard is out - Dowdle presumably will start, backed up by Trevor Etienne and Deejay Dallas.***
24.*Tony Pollard TEN at ARI
Note: ***With Tyjae Spears (ankle) coming off the IR on Saturday, Pollard's workload might get reduced.***
25.Rhamondre Stevenson NE at BUF
26.Chase Brown CIN vs. DET
27.TreVeyon Henderson NE at BUF
28.*Emari Demercado ARZ vs. TEN
Note: Demercado vs. Carter is a tossup for me. I think Demercado will be more involved in the passing game, but it's not as if Carter is incapable of catching passes.
29.*Michael Carter ARZ vs. TEN
Note: Carter and Emari Demercado take over for the Cardinals with Trey Benson (knee) out.
30.Chris Rodriguez WAS at LAC
31.Isiah Pacheco KC at JAX
32.Nick Chubb HOU at BAL
33.Kareem Hunt KC at JAX
34.Zach Charbonnet SEA vs. TB
35.*Bhayshul Tuten JAC vs. KC
Note: Tuten continues to manage a shoulder injury, and was wearing a non-contact jersey on Thursday. ***Tuten was still limited Saturday, but also was cleared from the injury list.***
36.Ollie Gordon MIA at CAR
37.Blake Corum LA vs. SF
38.*Kendre Miller NO vs. NYG
Note: Not only did Miller carry 11 times for 65 yards and a touchdown, but he got a lot of his work early in the game against Buffalo when the game was in doubt. The one thing I don't like about adding him is that Miller doesn't seem to be a part of the passing game, and the Saints are going to be trailing a lot this season.
39.Brian Robinson SF at LAR
40.*Sean Tucker TB at SEA
Note: Tucker has been afterthought for the Bucs so far, but it's possible that Bucky Irving (foot/ankle) might not be able to play this week. ***Irving has officially been ruled out for Sunday, so Tucker will get his first touch on offense most likely since Week 1.***
41.Jeremy McNichols WAS at LAC
42.Jacory Croskey-Merritt WAS at LAC
43.RJ Harvey DEN at PHI
44.Ray Davis BUF vs. NE
45.*Trevor Etienne CAR vs. MIA
Note: ***Etienne got work in garbage time last week, but that role should increase with Chuba Hubbard (calf) out this week.***
46.Devin Singletary NYG at NO
47.*Justice Hill BAL vs. HOU
Note: Good luck trying to capture lightning in a bottle with Hill - he out snapped Derrick Henry last week, but the game flow circumstances were weird. At least we know he's Henry's primary backup.
48.Ty Johnson BUF vs. NE
49.*Brashard Smith KC at JAX
Note: Smith is getting more involved in the Chiefs offensive, gathering three catches on four targets last week against the Ravens.
50.Zavier Scott MIN at CLE
51.*Raheem Mostert LV at IND
Note: Mostert only played eight offensive snaps in his 2025 debut, but chipped in with 62 rushing yards and an 11-yard catch. He's clearly the top backup for the Raiders now.
52.*Isaiah Davis NYJ vs. DAL
Note: Davis will be in line for more playing time with Braelon Allen (MCL Sprain) out.
53.Jaydon Blue DAL at NYJ
54.Jerome Ford CLE vs. MIN
55.*Tyjae Spears TEN at ARI
Note: The Titans are expected to open the 21-day practice window for Spears (ankle) this week. Spears was limited in his return to practice so far this week. ***Spears was activated from the IR list on Saturday, and he's likely to see some action against the Cardinals.***
56.Dylan Sampson CLE vs. MIN
57.Samaje Perine CIN vs. DET
58.Hassan Haskins LAC vs. WAS
59.*Julius Chestnut TEN at ARI
Note: ***Teammate Tyjae Spears (ankle) has been activated from the IR list.***
60.DJ Giddens IND vs. LV
61.AJ Dillon PHI vs. DEN
62.Tahj Brooks CIN vs. DET
63.LeQuint Allen JAC vs. KC
64.Will Shipley PHI vs. DEN
65.*Miles Sanders DAL at NYJ
Note: Sanders (ankle) was limping to the locker room at one point in the Sunday night tie against the Packers. Meanwhile, coach Brian Schottenheimer said that rookie Jaydon Blue is closer to being active - after being a healthy scratch the first four weeks of the season. Sanders (ankle) hasn't practiced yet this week. ***Sanders is listed as questionable, but didn't practice all week.***
66.*Chuba Hubbard CAR vs. MIA
Note: Hubbard (calf) hasn't yet practiced this week and apparently is worse off this week at the same point as he was last week. ***Hubbard is out for this week.***
67.*Bucky Irving TB at SEA
Note: Irving is still gathering medical opinions about his foot and/or ankle, and his status for this week at Seattle is uncertain. Irving (foot) was wearing a walking boot earlier in the week and hasn't practiced yet, though he hasn't been declared out yet. ***Irving has officially been ruled out for this week.***
68.*Tyrone Tracy NYG at NO
Note: Tracy (shoulder) hasn't practiced this week. ***Tracy is listed as doubtful for Week 5.***
69.*Trey Benson ARZ vs. TEN
Note: Benson underwent surgery for a meniscus tear in his knee and is out 4-to-6 weeks, and has been placed on IR.
70.*Braelon Allen NYJ vs. DAL
Note: Allen is heading to the IR list with an MCL sprain. Officially placed on IR.

13.Quentin Johnston LAC vs. WAS
14.Tetairoa McMillan CAR vs. MIA
15.Brian Thomas JAC vs. KC
16.Courtland Sutton DEN at PHI

Note: Waddle could see a spike in targets with Tyreek Hill out for the season.
18.Ja'Marr Chase CIN vs. DET
19.A.J. Brown PHI vs. DEN
20.Zay Flowers BAL vs. HOU
21.*Xavier Worthy KC at JAX
Note: Worthy's return was transformational for the Chiefs' offense - he had five catches for 83 yards, plus two rushes for another 38 yards.
22.Jakobi Meyers LV at IND
23.*Deebo Samuel WAS at LAC

Note: ***Teammate Alec Pierce (concussion) is out again this week.***
38.*Darius Slayton NYG at NO
Note: Slayton will be on the field a lot more with Malik Nabers (knee) out for the season - will the Giants dial up enough deep targets for it to matter?
39.Jerry Jeudy CLE vs. MIN
40.*Calvin Ridley TEN at ARI
Note: Ridley's snaps were dialed back due to an unspecified injury. Ridley (knee/elbow) was listed as a non-participant Wednesday and Thursday. ***Ridley had a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable, but expected to play.***
41.Rashid Shaheed NO vs. NYG

45.Travis Hunter JAC vs. KC

55.Tyquan Thornton KC at JAX
56.Joshua Palmer BUF vs. NE
57.Christian Kirk HOU at BAL

Note: Shepard (foot) didn't practice on Wednesday, one of a slew of players that sat out Wednesday.
59.JuJu Smith-Schuster KC at JAX
60.*Adonai Mitchell IND vs. LV
Note: Very tough look to see Mitchell fumble untouched just before he reached the goal line, especially given what happened last year with Jonathan Taylor. ***Even with Alec Pierce (concussion) still out, Mitchell is expected to play less in favor of Ashton Dulin due to last week's gaffes.***
61.*Marvin Mims DEN at PHI
Note: Mims (hip/ankle) was limited in Thursday's practice. ***Full practice Friday and cleared to practice.***
62.Jalen Nailor MIN at CLE

Note: Pearsall suffered a PCL injury and sat out Tuesday's walk-through practice. He's questionable for Thursday night. Both Pearsall and Jennings have been ruled out.
79.*Terry McLaurin WAS at LAC
Note: McLaurin (quad) is 'trending in the right direction' to play this week against the Chargers. Once he gets back to a full practice, or a more definitive statement from the team, I'll then move him back up - probably somewhere around 25-30. McLaurin (quad) has been ruled out and won't travel with the team.
80.*Jauan Jennings SF at LAR

13.*Juwan Johnson NO vs. NYG
Note: Johnson appeared to suffer a leg injury early in the loss to the Bills, but later returned. Johnson (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday. He might also see fewer reps in the near future, with both Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau working their way back from their respective injuries. ***Listed as questionable.***

Note: Waller caught two touchdown passes in his 2025 debut on three total targets. Waller (hip/rest) has been limited in the first two practices of the week. ***Cleared from the injury list.***
15.Harold Fannin CLE vs. MIN
16.Evan Engram DEN at PHI
17.*Mason Taylor NYJ vs. DAL

Note: Waddle could see a spike in targets with Tyreek Hill out for the season.
40.Ja'Marr Chase CIN vs. DET
41.A.J. Brown PHI vs. DEN
42.Zay Flowers BAL vs. HOU
43.*Rachaad White TB at SEA
Note: White could be in line for a big uptick in playing time if Bucky Irving (foot/ankle) cannot play. Sean Tucker would share duties with him. ***Irving has officially been ruled out for this week.***
44.*Woody Marks HOU at BAL
Note: Coach DeMeco Ryans said he's excited to see how Marks handles an increased workload going forward, after the Week 4 breakout performance against the Titans. Meanwhile, Joe Mixon (foot) isn't close to returning.
45.*Jordan Mason MIN at CLE
Note: Mason has a really tough draw this week against the Browns. He was disappointing against the Steelers, getting bailed out on a fumble-six early on, while rushing 16 times for 57 yards. It didn't help that the Vikings were playing catch-up, and that they lost multiple offensive linemen to injury.
46.*Tony Pollard TEN at ARI
Note: ***With Tyjae Spears (ankle) coming off the IR on Saturday, Pollard's workload might get reduced.***
47.*Xavier Worthy KC at JAX
Note: Worthy's return was transformational for the Chiefs' offense - he had five catches for 83 yards, plus two rushes for another 38 yards.
48.Quentin Johnston LAC vs. WAS
49.*Rico Dowdle CAR vs. MIA
Note: Even if Chuba Hubbard (calf) plays, I think Dowdle gets more work than usual this week. ***Hubbard is out - Dowdle presumably will start, backed up by Trevor Etienne and Deejay Dallas.***
50.Jakobi Meyers LV at IND
51.Ladd McConkey LAC vs. WAS
52.DeVonta Smith PHI vs. DEN
53.Stefon Diggs NE at BUF
54.*Emari Demercado ARZ vs. TEN
Note: Demercado vs. Carter is a tossup for me. I think Demercado will be more involved in the passing game, but it's not as if Carter is incapable of catching passes.
55.TreVeyon Henderson NE at BUF
56.Sam LaPorta DET at CIN
57.Tee Higgins CIN vs. DET
58.*Michael Carter ARZ vs. TEN
Note: Carter and Emari Demercado take over for the Cardinals with Trey Benson (knee) out.
59.Chase Brown CIN vs. DET
60.Keon Coleman BUF vs. NE
61.Hollywood Brown KC at JAX
62.*Jordan Addison MIN at CLE
Note: How did he get caught?

68.Jameson Williams DET at CIN
69.Wan'Dale Robinson NYG at NO

Note: ***Teammate Alec Pierce (concussion) is out again this week.***
72.Khalil Shakir BUF vs. NE
73.Chris Olave NO vs. NYG
74.*Darius Slayton NYG at NO
Note: Slayton will be on the field a lot more with Malik Nabers (knee) out for the season - will the Giants dial up enough deep targets for it to matter?
75.Jerry Jeudy CLE vs. MIN
76.*Calvin Ridley TEN at ARI
Note: Ridley's snaps were dialed back due to an unspecified injury. Ridley (knee/elbow) was listed as a non-participant Wednesday and Thursday. ***Ridley had a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable, but expected to play.***
77.Rashid Shaheed NO vs. NYG
78.Kayshon Boutte NE at BUF
79.Travis Kelce KC at JAX
80.Zach Ertz WAS at LAC
81.*Juwan Johnson NO vs.
82.Nick Chubb HOU at BAL
83.Kareem Hunt KC at JAX
84.Zach Charbonnet SEA vs. TB

23.Eddy Pineiro SF at LAR
24.*Joey Slye TEN at ARI
Note: Slye went 0-for-2 on field goal attempts in the first half when Tennessee's game with the Texans was still in doubt.

27.Blake Grupe NO vs. NYG

Defenses

1.*Arizona Cardinals vs. TEN
Note: Arizona's sweet early season schedule (NOR, CAR and TEN in the first five weeks) continues against a truly incompetent Tennessee offense.
2.Detroit Lions at CIN
3.*Minnesota Vikings at CLE
Note: Disappointing effort against the Steelers, but now they draw Dillon Gabriel in his first NFL start.
4.*Cleveland Browns vs. MIN
Note: The Browns haven't allowed 300 yards in a game despite facing the Bengals (with Burrow), the Ravens, the Packers and the Lions. Now they face Carson Wentz and a banged up Vikings offensive line.
5.Philadelphia Eagles vs. DEN
6.*Houston Texans at BAL
Note: The Texans are legit, but we no longer have to consider benching them this week with Lamar Jackson out.
7.Buffalo Bills vs. NE
8.Denver Broncos at PHI
9.Los Angeles Chargers vs. WAS
10.Seattle Seahawks vs. TB
11.Indianapolis Colts vs. LV
12.Los Angeles Rams vs. SF
13.Kansas City Chiefs at JAX
14.New York Giants at NO
15.*Washington Commanders at LAC
Note: Higher than normal this week due to Joe Alt's ankle sprain.
16.*Jacksonville Jaguars vs. KC
Note: The Jags deserve to be higher most weeks, but suddenly I'm worried about facing the Chiefs again.
17.New England Patriots at BUF
18.San Francisco 49ers at LAR
19.Tampa Bay Buccaneers at SEA
20.Miami Dolphins at CAR
21.*Baltimore Ravens vs. HOU
Note: Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) is out for the season, Roquan Smith (hamstring) will probably miss multiple games, Marlon Humphrey (calf) is out a couple of weeks, Nate Wiggins left with an elbow injury, and Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) sat out vs. the Chiefs.

23.Tennessee Titans at ARI
24.New Orleans Saints vs. NYG
25.Las Vegas Raiders at IND
26.Dallas Cowboys at NYJ
