Best NFL Preseason Picks for Friday, August 22

Best NFL Picks current as of 6:55 PM ET Friday.

Ian Wheeler 29.5 Rush Yards (More - PrizePicks)

The tough-running sophomore running back got banged up last year after an excellent preseason but is back to his normal self and looking to lock up a spot on a non-injured-reserve spot in 2025. Given his situation and with limited Bears running backs available, he should see plenty of playing time.

Joe Milton 143.5 Pass Yards (More - PrizePicks)

Milton should once again get near a full game for the Cowboys, and he's someone who is not afraid to chuck it down the field against lesser cornerbacks. I think Dallas continues its evaluation of Milton by letting him air it out and run at will as well.

Nathan Carter 31.5 Rush Yards (More - PrizePicks)

It's another Falcons game and another three-man rotation in the backfield. Carter has looked the best of the bunch and is someone I expect to get the most touches and snaps as Atlanta figures out the last running back on the roster.

Brashard Smith 20.5 Rush Yards (More - PrizePicks)

Unlike the others the playing time and snaps aren't as certain with Smith. However, he is a gadget player who I think Kansas City finds very creative ways of getting the ball to, and I think he's someone who could hit this prop with an end-around or otherwise. I'm buying head coach Andy Reid's offense and Smith's electricity rather than the raw snaps.
