Washington Commanders at Miami Dolphins Prop Plays
*Best lines at time of writing listed
The Commanders and Dolphins meet at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain for the first-ever game in the country of Spain.
The Washington Commanders, who went to the NFC Championship Game last season, have fallen on hard times, going just 3-7 so far this season. A major reason for their regression has been multiple injuries to QB Jayden Daniels. He suffered a gruesome dislocated left elbow against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9, fortunately to his non-throwing arm. QB Marcus Mariota has taken over, but he remains without WR Terry McLaurin, who is having a lost season of his own.
But those issues are on offense and those players do not tackle. Washington has been horrible, allowing 1,344 yards, which ranks 29th in the NFL, and they've given up 4.6 yards per carry (YPC). As it stands, Miami is terrible against the run, too, giving up 1,397 yards and 4.9 YPC, so the fans on the Iberian Peninsula are going to see something they're not used to seeing in La Liga -- a lot of scoring.
Dolphins RB De'Von Achane exploded for 174 yards and two touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills last week, averaging 7.9 YPC, and he has 67 or more rushing yards in each of the past five, with a pair of 100-yard games and two multi-TD games. He is a strong play to go Over his rushing yardage projection.
However, Achane is also a solid option in the passing game. He has six receptions in each of his past two games, and four or more catches in five of the previous six outings. If it wasn't for Achane, the Dolphins offense would really be in bad shape.
The shine has dulled for Commanders rookie RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt, but he could have a revival against the very leaky Dolphins rush defense. His projection means he needs to get to just 33 rushing yards to go high, and that seems like a fabulous play.
Best Prop Pick: Dolphins RB De'Von Achane - Over 79.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)
Best Prop Picks: Dolphins RB De'Von Achane - Over 121.5 Rush+Rec Yards (-112 FanDuel)
Best Prop Picks: Dolphins RB De'Von Achane - Over 5.5 Total Receptions (-102 FanDuel)
Best Prop Picks: Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt - Over 32.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns Prop Plays
Sticking with the run props, the Ravens and Browns get together at Huntington Bank Field on the shores of Lake Erie. While it is expected to stay dry, winds will be blowing from 20-25 MPH, with gusts to gale force.
With that kind of weather forecast, we should see a mostly ground-based offensive attack. However, the Browns have been stout against the run all season, and Baltimore's Derrick Henry hasn't quite been himself. That's a good recipe for an Under play.
In Week 2, while his team beat the Browns 41-17 at M&T Bank Stadium, Henry struggled. Cleveland has allowed just 881 rushing yards, with 3.6 YPC, tied for the best mark in the NFL with the Denver Broncos. The Browns have allowed just three rushing touchdowns, too, also tied for the best mark with the Los Angeles Rams.
While we go low on Henry's rushing total, we're going to go high on QB Lamar Jackson. The former MVP has 14 carries for just 50 yards in his two games since returning from a month-long absence. He should kick off the training wheels against the Browns, as he has a low projection total. So, while we go low on King Henry, go high on the QB.
And, sticking with the running backs thing, Browns rookie QB Quinshon Judkins is a strong play at plus-money as an Anytime TD scorer. He has five rushing touchdowns this season, including three against the Dolphins in a windy, cold game in the most recent home date in Week 8.
Best Prop Pick: Ravens RB Derrick Henry - Under 76.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)
