Which Week 4 NFL Games Are Too Close to Call?

Carolina at New England wound up split 5-5 in these projections and the Washington Commanders had the slimmest of margins over the Atlanta Falcons, with a 5-4-1 edge.

The other game where teams split 10 simulations is the Baltimore Ravens at the Kansas City Chiefs. This matchup of AFC heavyweights carries a lot of big names and MVP award winners, but also a nearly unimaginable scenario: One of these teams will exit Week 4 with a 1-3 record (unless they tie).

Bettors who access the BetMGM bonus code can get the Chiefs and 2.5 points at home; Kansas City was a 1.5-point underdog in Week 2 against visiting Philadelphia and failed to cover in a 20-17 loss. This marks the first time since the 2019 season that coach Andy Reid's team has been an underdog in consecutive home games.

Other Week 4 NFL Games That Could Be Tight

The Micah Parsons Bowl is projected to be close, as AI has the visiting Green Bay Packers edging the Dallas Cowboys 6-4 in 10 meetings. Parsons has given the Packers defense a spark since the Cowboys traded him to Green Bay just before the start of the season. At Pro Football Focus, Parsons (a xxx time Pro Bowl selection) grades out as the third-best pass rusher in the NFL through three games among players with more than 100 defensive snaps.

At bet365 Sportsbook, Green Bay is a 6.5-point favorite to win in Arlington and shake off a stunning Week 3 loss at Cleveland.

The Minnesota Vikings own a projected 6-4 edge against the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Sunday morning game at Dublin, Ireland, in that nation's first regular-season NFL game. Minnesota's Carson Wentz, subbing for an injured JJ McCarthy, squares off against Aaron Rodgers in what would have been a dandy QB matchup eight years ago. At DraftKings, the Steelers have +120 odds to make the playoffs as of Sept. 24 (and -145 to miss) while the Vikings are at +135 to qualify for the postseason (compared to -165 not to go to the playoffs).

Week 4 NFL Projections Q&A

Q: How did ChatGPT simulate NFL Week 1 games?

A: RotoWire ran 10 simulations for every Week 4 matchup using ChatGPT, with rosters updated as of Sept. 24, 2025. Each game produced projected scores, a winner, and a calculated average margin of victory (MOV). This allowed us to compare not only who wins most often but also how decisively they win.

Q: Which teams dominated the ChatGPT simulations?

A: The simulations showed dominant performances from the Bills and Lions, who both went 10-0 with double-digit average margins, along with the Rams (8-2, +14.2 MOV) and Chargers (7-3, +16.6 MOV). The Seahawks also impressed at 9-1, while the 49ers, Raiders, Dolphins, and Texans each won seven of ten with strong average margins.

Q: What were the closest or most balanced matchups in the simulations?

A: The most balanced results came from the Panthers-Patriots and Ravens-Chiefs matchups, which both finished essentially even. Other competitive series included Vikings-Steelers, Packers-Cowboys, Bengals-Broncos, Commanders-Falcons and Eagles-Buccaneers, all of which hovered close to a 50/50 split.
