2025 Fantasy Outlook
Dillon didn't play at all in 2024 due to neck issues, causing his tenure with the Packers to end with a whimper. A second-round pick out of Boston College in 2020, Dillon offers a big body between the tackles at 6-0, 247 pounds, and he's developed adequate receiving skills during his time in the NFL, but he was never able to seize a lead role in Green Bay. That won't change in Philadelphia working behind Saquon Barkley, but a healthy and motivated Dillon could push Will Shipley for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart in an elite offense. RANKS
Ahead of Shipley on Day 1
Dillon got reps with the first-team offense before Will Shipley on Wednesday, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
It probably doesn't mean much on the first day of training camp, with the Eagles initially deferring to Dillon's experience (597 carries in 60 regular-season games) over Shipley's familiarity (he was the team's third-string RB last year). Dillon seems to be back at full health after a neck injury last August ended his fifth season with the Packers before it even got started. He signed a one-year contract in Philadelphia this spring, getting less than $200,000 guaranteed but with a chance to replace Kenneth Gainwell (who is now with the Steelers) as the team's No. 2 RB. While Shipley is a recent fourth-round pick and surely more nimble, Dillon's 240-plus-pound frame could have some value to the Eagles if Saquon Barkley were to miss time.

Drafted in the second round in 2020 in the hopes he could become Green Bay's next Eddie Lacy, the 247-pound Dillon has instead seen his yards per carry decline every year, bottoming out at 3.4 last season. The Packers brought him back on a one-year deal, but they then added MarShawn Lloyd in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Dillon was later placed on season-ending injured reserve in late August, after suffering his second neck stinger within a period of eight months.

He inked a one-year contract with the Packers prior to the campaign, meaning he'll become a free agent Wednesday when the new league year begins. Dillon has been underwhelming for much of his professional career, as he has yet to top 803 rushing yards in a campaign while averaging only 4.1 yards per carry.
