Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
It was far from a perfect rookie season for Cooper, but he flashed productivity in all three phases of defense while also seeing his role increase as the season progressed. He began the campaign in a reserve role but eventually replaced Isaiah McDuffie as the primary inside linebacker working alongside Quay Walker. The results were exciting, if inconsistent. Cooper used his speed and explosiveness to regularly burst into the backfield and make plays to disrupt offenses (13 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks) but also had a missed tackle rate of 15.4 percent. He was sufficient in coverage, so a three-down role as early as 2025 isn't out of the question. Cooper is one of the top IDP breakout candidates. Read Past Outlooks
Opens with 12 stops
Cooper registered a career-high 12 tackles (eight solo) in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Cooper started Sunday's contest and finished it with more tackles than he registered in any of the 14 games he appeared in during his 2024 rookie season -- one in which he was twice named NFC Defensive Player of the Week. Cooper was a trendy breakout candidate coming into the current campaign, and after one contest there is little reason to think differently, as only three players have registered more tackles with one game to go in Week 1.

Looking to bolster the middle linebacker position amid a move to a 4-3 defense, the Packers scooped up Cooper in the second round of this year's draft. Cooper brings little size (6-2, 230 pounds) but plenty of speed (4.51 40) to the table, and he was in the backfield frequently in his final year of college. Green Bay's top two tacklers from last season return, and Cooper is projected to slot into the starting spot between the two of them.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could emerge as defensive star
Cooper seems poised for a huge season in the middle of the Packers defense, Marc Ross of NFL.com projects.
ANALYSIS
As a rookie in 2024, Cooper was eased into a larger role at linebacker before missing three games in the second half due to a hamstring injury, but once he returned he was a tackling machine, racking up 35 stops over the final four regular-season games and eight more in a wild-card loss to the Eagles. Cooper proceeded to add 10 pounds of muscle this offseason without apparently losing any explosiveness, and his ability to stay healthy might be the only thing standing between him and a breakthrough campaign.
