The Lions placed Yeboah (undisclosed) on injured reserve Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Yeboah's placement on IR rules him out for the entire 2025 season, barring an injury settlement. It remains to be seen whether his current injury is related to the leg issue that held him out early in training camp, though he managed to suit up for Detroit's preseason opener against the Falcons on Friday.

2021
Yeboah is competing with Zack Kuntz for the third spot on the Jets' tight end depth chart behind Tyler Conklin and Jeremy Ruckert. The 25-year-old Yeboah has been limited primarily to special teams work over the past three seasons, appearing in 24 games but posting only four catches for 64 yards. His role is unlikely to change in 2024.
Yeboah signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent after totaling 524 yards and six touchdowns in seven games as a senior at Ole Miss in 2020. New York hasn't gotten much production out of the tight end position in recent years and Yeboah showcased some promising receiving ability in college, but he will be fighting an uphill battle in camp as he looks to climb a veteran-laden depth chart that includes Chris Herndon, Tyler Kroft and Ryan Griffin.

Candidate for active roster
TEFree Agent
September 29, 2021
Yeboah could be promoted to the Jets' active roster prior to the team's Week 4 matchup against the Titans, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Starting tight end Tyler Kroft is dealing with a rib injury and is uncertain to play Week 4. He practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, so it's possible he's still able to suit up this weekend. If Kroft is forced to sit out Sunday, however, Yeboah could fill a depth role among the tight-end corps.
