2025 Fantasy Outlook
Fant’s a reliable chain mover but his lack of involvement by the goal line caps his ceiling. He has recorded between 414 and 673 receiving yards in each of his six NFL seasons, but Fant has never scored more than four TDs in any campaign, and he was mired in a brutal 32-game touchdown drought before scoring in Week 18 last season against a Rams team that was resting numerous key starters. The Seahawks' drafting of Elijah Arroyo 50th overall made Fant expendable, though, tand the team released him in July just before training camp. Read Past Outlooks
Visit set with Bengals
Fant has a visit scheduled with the Bengals on Thursday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
ANALYSIS
Fant was released by the Seahawks on Sunday, but it may not take him much time to find a new home. His potential fit in Cincinnati would be interesting, as he'd join a prolific offense but also step into an uncertain role with Mike Gesicki also on the roster. Fant played a career-low 533 offensive snaps in 2024, and he may find a regular role difficult to earn regardless of where he lands.

Fant re-signed with Seattle on a two-year, $21 million contract in the offseason, while fellow tight ends Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson both left in free agency. Dissly and Parkinson cut into Fant’s production substantially in 2024, combining for 419 yards and three touchdowns while Fant posted career lows with 414 yards and no TDs despite starting all 17 games. Fant had 486 yards and four TDs with Seattle in 2022 and averaged 635 yards and 3.3 touchdowns in three years with the Broncos before that, so he’s set up well for a rebound campaign now that blocking tight end Pharaoh Brown and fourth-round pick AJ Barner are the main competition for snaps/targets. Fant broke a bone in his hand in last season’s finale, but he's missed only three games through five seasons and should be healthy long before training camp.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Team adds TE competition
Fant could face competition for playing time from Elijah Arroyo, whom the Seahawks drafted 50th overall Friday.
ANALYSIS
Arroyo had 590 receiving yards and seven touchdowns at Miami in 2024. Fant has just one touchdown catch over the last two seasons and was already losing out on goal-line opportunities to AJ Barner, who had seven red-zone targets to Fant's five last year. The 6-foot-5 Arroyo could also contend for red-zone opportunities and may even challenge Fant for the top spot on the depth chart in 2025.
