Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Johnson ultimately could prove to be a seventh-round steal, even if that doesn't happen in his first NFL season while playing on a particularly deep receiving corps. The Oregon product recorded a 169-2,080-20 receiving line over 26 games across the 2023 and 2024 college seasons. While he likely projects as no higher than a No. 6 receiver to open his career, he may make an immediate impact on punt returns and eventually force his way into some complementary snaps on offense. RANKS
Another TD in Week 7 loss
Johnson secured four of nine targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 24-9 loss to the Lions on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Johnson tied for second in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night for the Buccaneers, and he recorded his second career touchdown on a 22-yard grab with just under nine minutes remaining in the third quarter. The rookie now has a pair of four-catch tallies in the last three games, and given Mike Evans suffered a broken collarbone in addition to a concussion in Monday night's loss, Johnson could be set for an elevated role for the remainder of the season, especially if Chris Godwin (fibula) also continues to miss time.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Elevated role will continue
Johnson should continue to serve as one of the Buccaneers' primary receivers in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Saints due to Chris Godwin and Mike Evans already being ruled out, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie seventh-round pick logged a career-high nine targets in Monday night's loss to the Lions, a game that Godwin missed due to his fibula injury and Evans exited due to a broken collarbone and concussion. Johnson also had a four-catch effort in Week 5 when Evans was sidelined for that game with a hamstring injury, and with both his star teammates out versus New Orleans, Johnson figures to operate as no less than the No. 3 receiver behind Emeka Egbuka and Sterling Shepard.
