2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Seahawks drafted Horton in the fifth round this spring, adding much-needed speed to a WR room led by Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp. The Colorado State product played only six games in his final collegiate campaign, limited by a knee injury, but before that he had back-to-back seasons with eight touchdowns and more than 1,100 receiving yards. At 6-foot-3, 195, with 4.41 speed, Horton has a similar profile to that of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who was released in late August after the rookie won a battle for the No. 3 receiver job. Horton may not see a ton of targets but should get a good number of snaps and some shots downfield, with an opportunity to develop and see more passes if Smith-Njigba or Kupp misses time. Horton was limited at practice Wednesday due to a groin injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After going without a target in his pro debut Week 1 against the 49ers, Horton got in the act this past Sunday at Pittsburgh, recording a 21-yard touchdown among his two catches and five targets. As Seattle begins Week 3 prep, though, he's operating with a cap on his practice reps, giving him two more chances to get back to all activity before the end of the week.

Challenging for significant role
WRSeattle Seahawks
August 5, 2025
Horton is challenging Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a sizeable role in Seattle's offense to begin the regular season, Brady Henderson reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie wideout has consistently made plays during the first two weeks of training camp. The coaching staff seems to have taken note, as Horton played with the first-team offense Tuesday and coach Mike Macdonald acknowledged that Valdes-Scantling and Horton are in a legitimate battle for playing time. Selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Colorado State, Horton likely would have gone higher had he not suffered a knee injury during his final collegiate campaign.
