SLATE PREVIEW
There are four games on the NHL slate Friday with Pittsburgh playing Nashville in Stockholm at 2 p.m. EST followed by evening matchups with Carolina hosting Vancouver, St. Louis welcoming the Flyers, and the Islanders traveling to Utah. Below, you'll find suggested options for crafting an effective lineup.
GOALIE
Dan Vladar, PHI at STL ($7,500): Vladar has been outstanding this season with a 6-3-1 record, 2.15 GAA and a .919 save percentage. He'll be facing the Blues on Friday, who are ranked 24th in scoring at only 2.76 goals per game.
VALUE PLAYS
Ryan O'Reilly, NSH vs. PIT ($5,000): O'Reilly has notched a goal and three assists from his last three outings with 14 points overall to sit second on the Preds in scoring right behind Filip Forsberg.
Jonathan Marchessault, NSH vs. PIT ($4,300): Marchessault has struggled with four goals and two assists across 15 appearances. He's skating on Nashville's second line alongside Steven Stamkos and Erik Haula while participating on the top power play.
FORWARD LINE STACK
Hurricanes vs. Canucks
Sebastian Aho (C- $7,000), Andrei Svechnikov (W-$5,000), Seth Jarvis (W - $6,400)
Aho leads the Canes with 16 points, one better than Jarvis. Svechnikov didn't find the scoresheet over his first eight games, but has exploded for four goals and three assists during his last eight. This trio could do plenty of damage against a Canucks side sitting 28th in the league with a 3.50 GAA.
DEFENSEMEN
Matthew Schaefer, NYI at UTAH ($5,300): Schaefer has been outstanding with six goals and eight assists while averaging 22:26 alongside seven power-play points. The rookie could eventually slow down, but he's doing well right now.
Jamie Drysdale, PHI at STL ($3,500): Drysdale saw his three-game scoring streak come to an end on Wednesday. He's registered seven points while logging 2:36 a night on the man-advantage despite not scoring during that situation.
