That's Kattar's fifth straight defeat dating back to June 2022 and will likely spell the end of his time with the company. His previous four defeats were against grapplers and high-level opposition (Youssef Zalal, Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen, Josh Emmett). While Garcia is no slouch himself, this is the type of fight Kattar used to thrive in -- a stand-up affair against a guy that would be willing to go blow-for-blow with him. It played out exactly that way, but Calvin was unable to get anything going. He appeared hesitant to engage for whatever reason. He was much better in that area this evening, stuffing all eight of Zalal's attempts, but he still couldn't get anything going on the feet until the closing minutes. Zalal kept sliding side to side, and Calvin had zero answers. He was credited with just 38 significant strikes.
