Facing Dumas at Noche
Reese will fight Sedriques Dumas at Noche UFC on Sep. 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After getting back in the win column versus Dusko Todorovic back in May, Reese will have the chance to win back-to-back matches as he travels to San Antonio. The 6-foot-4 middleweight is now 3-2 in the UFC, and he'll try to stay above .500 against Dumas, who's yet to win an octagon appearance in 2025.

Gets right back in win column
Reese defeated Dusko Todorovic via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was an underwhelming performance from Reese as a -225 favorite, although he walked away with the win he came for. Todorovic landed three takedowns and racked up 3:01 worth of control time in the opening frame alone. Reese's defensive wrestling was much better the rest of the way, as he stuffed 8-of-9 tries over the final 10 minutes. That allowed him to remain upright and easily win the striking exchanges between the two men. Reese has won three of five fights since officially joining the UFC roster back in December 2023 and seems likely to hover around the .500 mark moving forward.

Set to face Todorovic
Reese will face Dasko Todorovic at UFC Vegas 106 on May 31, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Reese last stepped into the octagon on Jan. 18, but things didn't go well for him in that bout since he lost to Azamat Bekoev via KO in the first round of the fight. He'll aim to bounce back in this one and will have ample time to prepare, a scenario that didn't happen before the Bekoev bout. Reese has a 2-2 record in his first four UFC bouts.

Brief winning streak snapped
Reese lost to Azamat Bekoev via KO (punches) at 3:04 of Round 1 at UFC 311 on Saturday in Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to face Sedriques Dumas, Reese accepted this opponent change on extremely short notice, and it didn't go well. He gave up an early takedown and some control time before getting finished with some massive blows from top position. Reese is big and physical, but Bekoev made sure he was never able to get going on this night. The 30-year-old Texan drops to 2-2 in his first four UFC bouts.

Finds new opponent
Reese will now face Azamat Bekoev in a middleweight bout at UFC 311 on Jan. 18, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Initially, Reese was slated to take on Sedriques Dumas. The latter pulled out just days before the fight, however, leaving the promotion scrambling to find a new fighter. They found one in Bekoev, who is an LFA champ but has never stepped into the octagon for a UFC bout before. Reese, meanwhile, is 2-1 in the promotion and has five inches of both height and reach on Bekoev.

Needs new opponent
Reese needs a new opponent as Sedriques Dumas has withdrawn from their scheduled middleweight bout at UFC 311 on Jan. 18, Octagon Update reports.
ANALYSIS
Reese was looking to push his winning streak to three against Dumas, but he'll need a new opponent on extremely short notice. The promotion is reportedly looking into replacement options, but again, the fight is around the corner. It's unclear why Dumas was forced to back out of the fight, but regardless, Reese needs a new opponent if he wants to fight Saturday.
