Best Chargers vs Patriots Player Prop Bet Picks for NFL Playoffs Wild Card Round (2026)

The best quarterback matchup of the Wild Card Round is a clash between MVP Candidate Drake Maye and Justin Herbert. With this much star power on display between the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots, there will be no shortage of player prop bets on Sunday night.

New England enters this one as a 3.5-point favorite, per bet365. Make sure to use the bet365 bonus code to juice up your picks. If you're looking to spice up this matchup with some NFL Wild Card Round player props, I've got you covered. Here are my favorite NFL player props for this postseason matchup:

Drake Maye – Rushing Yards: OVER 24.5 (-115)

Mobile quarterbacks tend to use their legs more in the postseason. We haven't seen Drake Maye in a playoff game yet, but few QBs are as mobile as Maye, who finished fourth among all QBs with 450 rushing yards this season. I'm confident we'll see McDaniels dial up some designed runs now that we're into the playoffs, but Maye doesn't need his coaches to draw it up for him. He finished third among all QBs in yards gained from scrambling in 2025.

Maye has recorded at least 25 rushing yards in three of his last four appearances. The lone exception came against the Jets, when he finished with 22 rushing yards and was pulled in midway through the third quarter. This is easily my favorite player prop in this game, and it's one of my favorites on the slate this week.

Stefon Diggs – Receiving Yards: OVER 51.5 (-114)

The Patriots have been very cautious with Stefon Diggs this season. He hasn't played 70% of the teams snaps once this season and has played less than 55% of the snaps in 11 of 17 games. You have to think they've been keeping him healthy for the playoffs. Now I expect them to fully unleash their No. 1 wideout.

Even on that limited snap share, Diggs has been remarkably effective this season. He finished the year as PFF's sixth-highest-graded WR and has cleared 100 yards in two of his last three games. It's not the most analytical argument, but New England also seems to rely on him in big moments. The Patriots' biggest games this season were against the Bills and Ravens. Diggs averaged 86.0 yards per game in two outings against Buffalo and put up 138 yards against Baltimore. A playoff game certainly qualifies as a big moment. Look for Diggs to play his highest snap share of the year and clear 52 yards with ease.

Ladd McConkey – Receiving Yards: UNDER 41.5 (-111)

Entering the year, I wouldn't have believed that Ladd McConkey's over/under would be set this low. But he's gone through a pretty significant sophomore slump and is trending in the wrong direction. McConkey has been held under 40 receiving yards in five of his last six appearances. The lone exception came against a historically bad Cowboys' defense, when he put up 43 yards. He has seen six targets or fewer in eight straight games. He hasn't been getting enough volume to clear this total, and I don't see him being efficient enough in this one, either.

Los Angeles' offensive line has been ravaged by injuries, and that group could have a tough time dealing with a Patriots' front that just got its most dynamic pass-rusher back in Milton Williams. Williams was the NFL's fourth-most efficient interior pass-rusher, per PFF. And there's always the looming threat of shutdown corner Christian Gonzales, who allowed the fourth-lowest completion percentage in the league this season. If LAC can't block, and Gonzales matches up with McConkey, it's hard to see the second-year pro cashing this prop.
