Cheick Doucoure

Doucoure (knee) is still far from making his return to competition since he is still building his fitness and trying to find stability and consistency, coach Oliver Glasner said in a press conference. "It takes time. I can't tell you a date Cheicky will be back with us. [It's about] getting him stable and consistent.

Doucoure (knee) suffered a setback in his rehab process and will be sidelined for multiple months, manager Oliver Glasner told media in Friday's pre-match press conference before facing Liverpool in the Community Shield on Sunday. "Cheick had a setback [and] we don't know when he will return. He's still not able to train, his knee's reacting. He gets all our support, [but] he won't be back for the next couple of months."

Doucoure (knee) is set for surgery and is done for the season, according to manager Oliver Glasner. "After further assessments, Cheick needs surgery on his knee, and Chadi has ruptured his ACL [Anterior Cruciate Ligament], so we have lost both for the rest of the season - and I think Chadi even longer, whereas we hope Cheicky will return for pre-season next season - so it's two long-term injuries."

Doucoure is out for Sunday's clash with Brentford due to a knee injury, according to manager Oliver Glasner. "Unfortunately [Cheick] Doucouré and [Chadi] Riad both have knee injuries and aren't available for Sunday's game. The doctors have to look at them, and let's see how it goes, but no [we don't have a timeframe for their return] at the moment."

Doucoure (toe) is on the bench for Saturday's match against Wolves.
