26-Year-Old

OUT
Injury Strain
Est. Return 4/11/2026
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Nketiah joined Crystal Palace with plenty of promise and assumption he'd jump into the starting XI. Instead, he started just nine times in his 29 appearances, scoring three goals. He was given opportunities early in the season when he ripped shots and didn't score. From there, Ismaila Sarr became the starter and never relented. Most of Nketiah's minutes later in the season came when Jean-Philippe Mateta missed time or was rested. One thing Nketiah can say is that he takes a lot of shots when in the XI. The downside is that the goals and consistent starts rarely came, something that again will be an issue in 2025/26.
Out until April
Nketiah (strain) won't be available before April, according to coach Igoar Glasner. "Eddie won't be available before April. So we're pushing hard to have him back in the team."
ANALYSIS
Nketiah won't be available before April after already missing the last 10 matches due to a strain injury. The forward had been operating in a reserve role prior to the setback and is likely to return to that spot once he is fit again, especially with Jean-Philippe Mateta nearing a return and Jorgen Strand Larsen arriving during the winter transfer window.

Eyeing April return
Nketiah (strain) is eyeing a return to play in April, according to manager Oliver Glasner. "I mentioned it [last week]: Eddie had a setback and it will take him now a few more weeks. We are now at the end of February. We expect him back in training... I think it will be the end of March, but because we don't have games, it looks like it will be April [on the pitch]."

Taking injury game-by-game
Nketiah is out for Thursday's match against Fulham and is taking his injury game-by-game, according to manager Olive Glasner. "Eddie is out for this game, so let's see for the next game. We don't know exactly how long it will take [to recover] - we'll have to take it game by game. It's a little bit his muscle, but we don't know right now how serious it is. Of course, he's had a few issues this year, and that's why we are quite cautious."

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could've joined West Ham
Nketiah could've joined West Ham United before the deadline, according to The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Nketiah was close to joining West Ham, as the Hammers had agreed to a £27 million deal for the Crystal Palace striker. However, Nketiah suffered yet another injury, and that ended West Ham's chances of landing the 26-year-old striker. West Ham did strengthen their attack in January, though, after adding Pablo and Valentin Castellanos.
