Havertz was off to an excellent start in the 2024/25 campaign before injuries derailed him and limited him to 1,874 minutes in 23 appearances (21 starts). He finished with nine goals and three assists and was the team's top-choice striker prior to injury. He's never going to be a clinical out-and-out striker who pushes for 20 goals, but he links up well with Bukayo Saka and can finish the chances that fall for him. Havertz appears set to have more competition in the attack next season, and if that happens, his goal tally will likely drop. But either way, when healthy, Havertz still figures to have a spot in the starting XI no matter who is in the team.

Havertz (knee) is still weeks away from making his return, coach Mikel Arteta said in the press conference. "Matter of weeks; let's see how it evolves in the next few weeks. He's doing really well, he's doing stuff on the pitch, but I think he needs some time."
