Matz Sels
34-Year-Old
Nottingham Forest
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sels was one of the surprises in the Premier League during the 2024/25 season, taking a share of the Golden Glove. It was his first full season with the team after transferring from Strasbourg, not missing a minute, starting all 38 games. He secured 13 clean sheets, tying for first in the league with David Raya. Even better for fantasy purposes is that he made 120 saves and allowed just 46 goals. Nottingham Forest figure to have some kind of drop defensively, but the saves should be there for Sels, which could make him a top-five goalkeeper again.
Concedes two against City
Sels had three saves and allowed two goals in Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 94th minute.
ANALYSIS
Sels would see a decent three saves Wednesday but was still beaten twice, resulting in a draw. He has now gone both games since returning without a clean sheet, allowing two goals in each game while making eight saves combined. He will now suit up for UEL play next, facing Midtjylland on March 12.

Still some time away from return
Sels is still working back from injury but will not be an option for a bit longer, according to manager Sean Dyche, per Sarah Clapson of the Nottingham Post. "Sels' is settling down, but it is not going to be days. We're not sure of the extent of how long, but it is certainly not going to be days. We are just hopeful it settles sooner rather than later. He is feeling pretty good at the moment."
