Top MLB Best Bets for Saturday, October 11
We're in full send mode of the NFL right now, but that doesn't mean we're not salivating over these MLB playoffs.
Three of the four little piggy's have come home, but we're waiting on that last one. Two heated National League Central Division rivals battle for all of the marbles! As it can only happen in an elimination game, we have absolutely no idea who is pitching for either team.
The Brewers raced out to a quick 2-0 series lead, but Chicago didn't hear a bell. With Game 5 deciding fates, who is moving on to lose to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS?

Cubs vs. Brewers Best Bets and Predictions
While playing the guessing game of who is pitching is atop the list of my power rankings, it's a little difficult to break it down from a handicap perspective. Although you can make the case that having a lot practice with this science from the college baseball side has left me extremely prepared.
It seems like virtually every arm for both teams would be available for this contest. The thing I'm wondering about for the Cubs would have to be is if my incubator guy, and should-be NL Rookie of the Year, is available. Cade Horton

Cade Horton "Hears a Who" was marvelous this season, but has yet to pitch in the postseason. The thought was he could potentially be activated for Game 5 after a little managerial chess. That, of course, could be a huge advantage since Horton has had some rest these last couple weeks.
All of the pressure is on Milwaukee, the serial chokers of the NL. They're at home, in an elimination game, after being up 2-0 in the series. Freddy Peralta got hit around in Game 4. While they're fairly deep in the bullpen, are we trusting them after the last couple games?
Because it's all hands-on-deck in this one, it could be a lot of mixing and matching on both sides. For the Brew Crew, I'd have to imagine Jacob Misiorowski is going to get some innings, since he hasn't thrown since Monday. In his only postseason appearance, he went three scoreless innings against the Cubs. The stuff is real. It's a heater that gets up to 103 mph with a vicious slider that can buckle knees. My worry is the free passes that get him into trouble. Miz has allowed eight walks in his last nine innings.

The Cubs offense has come to life lately with Michael Busch scorching Earth with three taters in this series. There's been some other big hits and at-bats from other guys, but if Chicago wants to pull off this upset, Busch needs another big game. I know the Brewers have arms in the 'pen ready to go, but if Chicago can get to five runs, that seems like it would be the magic number.
The Brewers offense has some talent with Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich and company. I don't believe their pen is as good, but if they can get some good innings from guys like Shota Imanaga and Colin Rea, then they may have something here.
Obviously, it stinks not having the official pitching matchup, but the momentum right now is with the Cubs. We've seen the Brew Crew act as colossal chokers in the postseason. All the pressure is on them.
I'm taking a shot on the upset on Saturday.
