Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings
In this article, I'm going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let's take a look at our optimizer's rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings 12-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*Possible rain delay/postponement in Tigers at Twins game. Proceed with caution!

Tonight's large slate only brings us three starters priced over $9k with two elite pitchers in Framber Valdez and Jacob deGrom. Valdez is my preferred choice of the two to spend up on as he gets a far easier matchup against an Orioles offense that hasn't scored more than five runs all month.
We've also highlighted Sean Manaea, Noah Cameron and Joe Boyle in our optimizer. Boyle is our top point-per-dollar starter due to a massive $2,300 discount compared to his FanDuel salary. Meanwhile, Manaea gets a great bounce-back opportunity against the Mariners at home. I will be avoiding Pierson Ohl and Landen Roupp due to likely being on limited pitch counts. Note that Yusei Kikuchi, Joey Cantillo and Jack Perkins all rank well in the metrics below.
Here's how each pitcher ranks in key categories (stats are from 2025 season only):
Pitcher | Fantasy Points | FIP | K% | Opponent K% |
Framber Valdez | 1 | 2 | 4 | 4 |
Jacob deGrom | 2 | 3 | 2 | 24 |
Sean Manaea | 3 | 9 | 3 | 6 |
Yusei Kikuchi | 4 | 10 | 6 | 12 |
Luis Gil | 5 |
