Best NBA Bets Today (Sunday, Feb. 8)

New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown to score over 28.5 points, -117 @ DraftKings

The rivalry between the Knicks and Celtics will have another chapter Sunday in a thrilling encounter at TD Garden at 12:30 PM ET. If the Celtics are going to secure the win, they'll need Brown to be at his best once again. The reigning Player of the Month in the Eastern Conference has been nearly unstoppable of late, and he's on a run of three straight games with 29 or more points after delivering a 29-point effort in the 98-96 win over the Miami Heat on Friday, Feb. 6.

Brown has scored 29 or more points in a staggering 30 of his 47 appearances en route to averaging a career-high 29.5 points per game. As the Celtics' go-to option on offense and considering the rivalry nature of his matchup, don't be surprised if Brown plays a prominent role for Boston once again. The last time he played the Knicks, Brown posted 42 points in a 123-117 win at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 2.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards over 3.5 three-pointers made, +140 @ FanDuel

Edwards has been one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA this season, continuing the trend of the 2024-25 season, when he took a giant leap in that regard. However, it's worth noting he's been slumping of late in terms of efficiency, and he went on a run of three straight games with three or fewer threes before going 5-for-9 in a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. Edwards has scored at least 30 points in his previous four appearances but has shot just 31.3 percent from deep in that span.

The star guard is simply too talented to continue struggling with this shot at this rate, and he should deliver another bounce-back effort against a Clippers team that doesn't have a reliable stopper in their backcourt. Even with the recent struggles, Edwards is still shooting a career-best 40.4 percent on 8.4 three-point attempts per game in 2025-26, so the chances for a bounce-back effort are there.

Miami Heat vs. Washington Wizards: Bam Adebayo under 35.5 points + rebounds + assists, -118 @ BetMGM

The Heat will have a favorable matchup against the Wizards as part of Sunday's early four-game slate, and if they are going to get the win, expect Adebayo to play a prominent role. The veteran should be able to dominate Alex Sarr on both ends of the court, and Adebayo should find a way to stuff the stat sheet as he often does. However, the line of 35.5 points + rebounds + assists looks a bit high on paper, and it wouldn't be surprising if he stays below that line once again -- a trend that has happened in the last five games, including Friday's loss to Boston, where he had 24 P+R+A (16 points, seven rebounds, one assist).

The star center is nursing a hip injury, and while the probable tag suggests he should be able to suit up and handle his regular workload, he's clearly not 100 percent healthy. For what it's worth, Adebayo had over 30 P+R+A in four of his last five games, but given the limitations of the hip injury, he's gone five straight without reaching this proposed 35.5 P+R+A line.
