Shavon Shields Over 20.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-125 bet365)
Armoni Brooks 15+ Points (+104)
Milan -- per RotoWire's EuroLeague Injury Report -- is once again shorthanded with Josh Nebo and Leandro Bolmaro out and Lorenzo Brown seemingly off the squad. Nico Mannion is also uncertain, and if he sits that's an even further boost.
Shields is coming off a down game -- something I always like to attack -- and now gets a pace-up spot where his rebound percentage should tick up. That combination makes this a strong bounceback angle.
Brooks is only in play for me if he starts, and if he does I trust the minutes a lot more. He has been in a slump recently, which is surprising given how efficient he has been all season, but he broke out of it in the last domestic contest. If he opens the game on the court I'm willing to give him a run -- and perhaps even consider ladders.
Wade Baldwin IV Under 13.5 Points (-135 bet365)
Nando de Colo Under 11.5 Points (-155 bet365)
Talen Horton-Tucker Under 16.5 Points (-125 bet365)
We ran a similar strategy earlier in the season when Barcelona got healthy, and it worked, which is why I'm trying it again. As luck would have it, Barcelona is exactly the team Fenerbahce faces Tuesday.
Scottie Wilbekin is back and Devon Hall could be as well, so add those two plus Brandon Boston to the names above and you have a crowded backcourt. Head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius should have no problem giving any of them 15 minutes, and when you combine that with a slower pace, the usage gets thin quickly. All we need is for two of these to hit to wind up on top.
Cameron Payne Over 16.5 Points+Assists (+100 bet365)
At first glance Payne's minutes might make you hesitant, particularly with Partizan down some guards. However, a deeper dive reveals that the playing time has been capped by foul trouble.
If you watched Payne in the NBA or even in college, it's probably confusing to see him rack up fouls, but this is common for American guards when they first arrive in Europe. When a below-average defender is suddenly asked to really lock in and defend, fouls occur. We saw the same with Kendrick Nunn.
All in all, Payne's usage alongside Sterling Brown and Nick Calathes has been elite. The matchup is promising, so if he can avoid the fouls and simply shoot at a normal rate I like our chances.
