Giants vs. Eagles Betting Odds, Picks and Predictions for Thursday Night Football

Week 6 gets underway with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. The two teams are at opposite ends of the NFC East, so this game comes with blowout potential. Let's dig into the stats and highlight three wagers to consider.

Mike Barner's season record: 16-13 (-0.97 units)

Giants vs. Eagles Betting Odds

Giants Spread +7.5 (-110 BetMGM), +340 Moneyline (ESPN Bet)
Eagles: Spread -7 (-115 Bet365), -385 Moneyline (BetRivers)
Game Total: 40.5 points (Over -105 ESPNBet, Under -105 DraftKings)

Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Giants, leaving them very thin at wide receiver. They will get back RB Tyrone Tracy Jr., who had missed the last two games with a shoulder injury. DT Jalen Carter (heel) is listed as questionable for the Eagles.

Giants vs. Eagles Betting Picks

Jaxson Dart Over 35.5 rushing yards (-114 FanDuel Sportsbook) for 1 Unit

In a disappointing loss to the Saints last week, Dart provided a mixed bag of production. While he had two passing touchdowns and ran for 55 yards, he also had two interceptions and lost a fumble. The turnovers proved costly, especially the fumble, when he was running and lost the ball untouched. He has been aggressive with his legs out of the gate, turning 17 carries into 109 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Dart has already been running a lot for the Giants. That's not likely to change with the Slayton joining Malik Nabers (knee) on the sidelines. As good as the Eagles can be on defense, they have allowed 8.0 yards per carry to quarterbacks this season. That is the third-highest mark in the NFL. It would not be a surprise if Dart approached 10 carries in this game, making the Over the way to go here.

Daniel Bellinger Over 1.5 receptions (-130 FanDuel Sportsbook) for 1 Unit

The Giants have one proven option at wide receiver right now in Wan'Dale Robinson. Behind him on the depth chart is Jalin Hyatt, who caught just eight passes all of last season, and seems like a bust after being taken in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The other wide receiver options for the Giants are undrafted rookie Beaux Collins and kick returner Gunner Olszewski. Lil'Jordan Humphrey is also expected to be called up from the practice squad.

With Nabers out in Week 5, the Giants already relied more on their tight ends. In addition to Theo Johnson catching six of seven targets for 33 yards and two touchdowns, Bellinger caught all four of his targets for 52 yards. The key was that he played 52 percent of the team's offensive snaps, which was up from 32 percent the week prior. The Giants could deploy a lot of two tight end sets in this game, which would favor Bellinger's chances of hitting this over.

Dallas Goedert Over 33.5 receiving yards (-112 DraftKings Sportsbook) for 1 Unit

For the third straight week, Goedert scored a touchdown when the Eagles lost to the Broncos last Sunday. He finished with just three receptions for 19 yards, but he had nine targets. Prior to that, Goedert had recorded at least 33 receiving yards in all three games that he had played.

After posting an average depth of target of 6.6 yards last season, that mark sits at 8.2 yards for Goedert this year. Entering this season, he has averaged at least 10.0 yards per reception for every season of his career. Including the playoffs, Goedert has posted at least 46 receiving yards in four of his last five games against the Giants. With WR A.J. Brown struggling to make an impact right now, look for Goedert to be heavily involved for the Eagles again.

Giants vs. Eagles Prediction

After scoring two early touchdowns last week, turnovers contributed to the Giants failing to put another point on the board against the Saints. The team was already going to have trouble producing explosive pass plays with Nabers out, and that task won't be made any easier with Slayton also sidelined. The Giants just don't have enough weapons on offense to hang with the Eagles in this game.

Eagles 27, Giants 13
