New York Giants at Detroit Lions Prop Plays
*Best lines at time of writing listed
We'll keep it simple for the early window. The New York Giants allow 5.5 yards per rushing attempt, worst in the NFL. They've allowed 15 rushing touchdowns, while posting 12 rushes of 20 or more yards, and three runs of 40+ yards.
Detroit RB Jahmyr Gibbs struggled mightly in Philadelphia with just 39 rushing yards on 12 attempts in Week 11, averaging 3.3 yards per attempt, and he has managing 3.3 YPC or less in two of the past three games. Look for a rebound against the leaky defense of the Giants.
Gibbs should be able to get to 75 rushing yards, and he might only need 15 attempts to get there. We'll back Gibbs to get into the end zone at least once. It will cost you more than 3 1/2 times your return, though, so don't play it straight up. There is no value there. But, as part of a multi-leg parlay, Gibbs is a good bet for an Anytime TD.
Best Prop Pick: Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs - Over 74.5 Rushing Yards (-112 FanDuel)
Best Prop Pick: Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs - Anytime TD Scorer (-370 FanDuel)
Cleveland Browns at Las Vegas Raiders Prop Plays
The Cleveland Browns travel to meet the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:05 p.m. ET, and the game can be viewed or streamed on CBS.
Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders makes his first NFL start, and it can't do worse than his first appearance last week against the Baltimore Ravens. QB Dillon Gabriel was knocked out with a concussion, so Sanders came on and completed just 4-of-16 passes for 47 yards and an interception, while running three times for 16 yards.
The Raiders are middle of the road against the pass, allowing 2,315 yards with 7.0 yards per attempt, and they've given up 16 passing touchdowns with 25 pass plays of 20 or more yards, and five pass plays of 40+ yards.
The Browns are likely to keep the training wheels firmly attached, using only short to intermediate routes, so don't look for the passing yards to be prolific. He will also be under intense pressure, as DE Maxx Crosby will be looking his chops, trying to take advantage of a mish-mash Cleveland O-line to bump up his sack totals. Sanders was dropped twice last week in a sub situation.
We've definitely going Under on passing yards for Sanders. I wouldn't necessarily bet it straight up, costing two times your potential return, but betting Sanders to have at least one pick is a slam-dunk play as part of your multi-leg parlay. And, if you're a little more adventurous, Sanders Alt Interceptions - 2+ (+124) is plus-money.
And, while I don't expect Sanders to light it up, or even come remotely close, when he does complete pass, it will be on short routes. Rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. is a strong bet to go Over his yardage total, as he'll likely see frequent work. As such, go Over on his total receptions, too.
If/when the Browns do score, it won't be frequent. But, taking PK Andre Szmyt to reach six or more points is a strong play. Cleveland will likely be choppy, should it make it into the red zone. That might lead to at least two field-goal opportunities. And, with controlled environmenal conditions, Szmyt is a good bet for once.
