RotoWire.com used ChatGPT to see what the AI tool would predict the results to be for each NFL game for Week 3 of the 2025-26 regular season. We ran 10 simulations for each matchup, requesting AI to produce results with game scores for each simulation using current NFL rosters as of Sept. 17. We also had it provide the margin of victory for each matchup. RotoWire.com, where you will find the best NFL betting promotions, found these simulated results from AI:

Which Week 3 NFL Games Are Too Close To Call?

There are three games that came up 5-5 after 10 game simulations, which we ran on Sept. 17. Two of them are farther down the list of marquee matchups – the Atlanta Falcons at the Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders at the Washington Commanders.

But the third game might be a case of saving the best for last.

Two preseason Super Bowl contenders, the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens, meet on Monday night at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium (8:15 p.m. Eastern, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2). At FanDuel Sportsbook, the Ravens are 5.5-point favorites.

Both teams are 1-1, putting a bit of extra urgency on this Monday Night Football extravaganza. The two starting quarterbacks, Detroit's Jared Goff and Baltimore's Lamar Jackson, are tied for the NFL lead in touchdown passes with six each.

In 10 game simulations, the Ravens won five with an average margin of victory (MOV) of 5.8 points. The Lions won five at an average MOV of 4.2 points. That's the third-smallest difference this week, which is further fuel for the thought that this might be one of the most entertaining games of the season for viewers and NFL betting customers alike.

Which Other Week 3 NFL Games Might Be Close?

Our projections from ChatGPT indicate that four other games have a reasonable expectation of being close, with homefield advantage often playing a role.

The one that stunned us, frankly, was the Cleveland Browns, who are projected to beat the Green Bay Packers six times out of 10. The oddsmakers at Caesars Sportsbook don't see it that way, with Green Bay favored by 7.5 points, making Cleveland the biggest home underdog this week.

What's also surprising about this matchup is that rising Packers quarterback Jordan Love and ancient Browns QB Joe Flacco have nearly identical passing totals through two games; Flacco has thrown for 489 yards, Love has 480. But Love has thrown zero interceptions and Flacco has three, part of the reason Cleveland is tied for the NL's worst turnover margin at minus-4.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the lone road team this week to hold a projected 6-4 advantage when they travel to face another 0-2 team, the New York Giants. Customers using the BetRivers Sportsbook bonus code can get K.C. at +1400 odds to win the Super Bowl, which will be a great price if the team can find its footing quickly.

Week 3 NFL Projections Q&A

Q: How did ChatGPT simulate NFL Week 3 games?

A: RotoWire ran 10 simulations for every Week 3 matchup using ChatGPT, with rosters updated as of Sept. 17, 2025. Each game produced projected scores, a winner, and a calculated average margin of victory (MOV). This allowed us to compare not only who wins most often but also how decisively they win.

Q: Which teams dominated the ChatGPT simulations?

A: The biggest dominators were the Jaguars (9–1) and Patriots (9–1), followed by strong 8–2 showings from the Bills and Buccaneers. Their results also came with sizable home average MOV edges (e.g., Bills 10.1, Bucs 8.6), reinforcing that the lopsided records weren't just coin-flip luck.

Q: What were the closest or most balanced matchups in the simulations?

A: True toss-ups were Falcons at Panthers (5–5), Raiders at Commanders (5–5), and Lions at Ravens (5–5), with average MOVs generally tight on both sides. Near-even splits included Packers at Browns (6–4 for Cleveland), Chiefs at Giants (6-4 for Kansas City), Broncos at Chargers (6–4 for Los Angeles) and Cardinals at 49ers (6–4 for San Francisco), where records lean slightly toward home teams but margins suggest frequent one-score outcomes.
