Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Houston took Noel in the third round, 79th overall, after drafting Iowa State teammate Jayden Higgins with the 36th overall pick. Both are promising prospects coming off 1,000-yard seasons and strong combine workouts, but they'll have to fight for playing time in an offense that already has veteran wideouts Nico Collins and Christian Kirk. At 5-foot-10, 194 pounds, Noel may look the part of a slot receiver, but he's more than athletic enough to get a shot on the perimeter, having posted a 4.39 40, 41.5-inch vertical and 134-inch broad jump at the combine. He's a bit older than average for a rookie, turning 23 in September, but it's not a huge concern given that he was a four-year contributor in college who improved his numbers in every major receiving category (including yards per catch) with each passing year. Houston's solid depth at wide receiver makes Noel more interesting for dynasty leagues than he is for redraft, but he's at least someone to keep in mind in case Collins or Kirk misses significant time. Kirk has been ruled out for Week 1 with a hamstring injury, which could result in Noel getting ample snaps in the slot while fellow rookie Jayden Higgins fills in for Kirk opposite Collins. RANKS
Gains 77 yards on MNF
Noel hauled in four of seven targets for 77 yards in Monday's 27-19 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off his first career touchdown reception in Week 6, Noel followed that up with a season-high 77 receiving yards on Monday Night Football. The absence of Christian Kirk (hamstring) helped elevate the rookie's role, and it is currently unclear how much time the veteran slot receiver will miss. No. 1 wideout Nico Collins (concussion) also left Monday's loss late in the fourth quarter, so the Texans may ask Noel to continue serving an elevated role if either starter is forced to miss Sunday's contest against the 49ers.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chance to step up with two WRs down
Noel could be in line for a larger role in Week 8 against the 49ers, as both Nico Collins and Christian Kirk were non-participants at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Kirk aggravated a hamstring injury that previously caused a two-game absence prior to Monday's loss to the Seahawks, while Collins was concussed in that game, giving the latter less than a full week to clear concussion protocol prior to Sunday's visit from the 49ers. Noel stepped up against Seattle with a career-high 77 receiving yards, and the rookie third-round pick will likely continue to see more opportunities if one or both of Collins and Kirk are unavailable in Week 8.
