SLATE PREVIEW
There are four games in the NHL on Friday. Chicago goes to Buffalo, Minnesota plays in Pittsburgh, Winnipeg hosts Carolina and Boston travels to Los Angeles. Below, you'll find suggested options for crafting an effective lineup.
GOALIE
Arvid Soderblom, CHI at BUF ($8,000): Soderblom is slated to get the start on Friday as Spencer Knight played Thursday against Seattle. He's won his last two outings where he only gave up a combined three goals on 67 shots with a 2.52 GAA and a .912 save percentage in six appearances this season.
VALUE PLAYS
Teuvo Teravainen, CHI at BUF ($4,800): Teravainen has five goals and 10 assists, including one of each on Thursday. He's gone over 50-plus points during each of his last two years and is well on his way to making it three in a row.
Alex Laferriere, LA vs. BOS ($4,900): Laferriere saw his four-game point streak halted on Monday in Washington. He also participates on the Kings' second power play where he averages 1:25 in ice time.
FORWARD LINE STACK
Wild at Penguins
Kirill Kaprizov (W - $7,500), Danila Yurov (C - $3,400), Mats Zuccarello (W - $5,300)
Kaprizov is up to 24 points and has been paired with many linemates due to injuries, though Zuccarello is now back with him after missing the first 15 games of the season and has recorded a goal and five assists across six matchups. Yurov was highly regarded coming into the campaign while the club has been bringing him along slowly. He's currently taking over for Marco Rossi (lower body) as the top-line center with three assists from his last two outings.
DEFENSEMEN
Shayne Gostisbehere, CAR at WPG ($6,400): Gostisbehere continues to be Carolina's blueline offensive star by posting a goal and 12 assists in only 11 games while quarterbacks the top power play.
Josh Morrissey, WPG vs. CAR ($6,600): Morrissey is riding a six-game scoring streak where he's totaled three goals and seven assists that's put his point count up to 21, with six of those coming while up a man.
